So lately I've been trying to be somewhat good and buy about $40 worth of groceries to last me for 2 weeks instead of eating out everyday, b/c that gets DANG expensive. One thing I found that I really really like is the Smart Ones pepperoni pizza. It's only 8 points for those of you doing Weight Watchers. It's got a super yummy and soft crust, and doesn't really taste like some of those nasty diet pizzas. And it's only about $2.15, which I think is good. It fills me up and is cheaper and better for me than a burger and fries. It comes with a little silver dish that you microwave it on to make the crust on the bottom crisp. YUMMY!
Another scrumptious find are these little gems. I found mine at Target over in the bakery section for about $2.50. I have these for lunch with some lean turkey breast, light miracle whip, mustard and roasted red bell peppers. It is so yummy and healthy and cheap. Love it.
The only problem is that I eat fairly healthy at work b/c I have oatmeal or cereal with fat free milk for breakfast and then my roll ups or a frozen meal for lunch. But then when I get home, I just eat and eat and eat! AHHHH! I also need to find a time to start working out. I weigh more now than I did when I was pregnant with Autumn...UM, CAN YOU SAY NOOOOT GOOD?
I figure I have 3 options of when I could work out. One would be to suck it up and get up at 5:00 am to exercise. However, I am NOT a morning person and I can barely make myself get up at 5:45 am just to get ready for the day. I usually hit my alarm about 4 times and wake up at 6:15 and then have to rush around so I'm not late.
Or I need to work out when I get home at night after Autumn goes to bed, b/c she won't even let me put her down from the time we get home until she goes to bed. And then it's usually about 9:00 at that time and I am wiped.
I tried exercising at work during my lunch break, but we don't have showers here, so then I am all sweaty and gross, and that's NOT GOOD either. I can't afford to go to a gym and work out there where they do have showers.
I'm not trying to complain, just trying to figure out how to lose some weight so I don't feel like a heifer cow. Any suggestions???

Hey Lisa Lou, this has been a constant challenge for me...and I see DJ struggling with it lately.
As far as eating goes: I've been learning more and more that it is so important to eat a big meal in the morning and get lots of protein. You're big meal should be in the morning so you can work it off and use it's energy throughout the day.
As far as working out: Can you do something that involves Autumn and teaches her to enjoy being active and out. Like speed walking w/ stroller. Have dance time with her. Get a bike w/ a child's seat. Just try to break a sweat for about 30 min a day.
I found I have to have a buddy. She keeps me motivated and we both are counting on the other person to be there. I go running outside or do workout videos cuz I can't afford a gym member ship either. Have you ever heard of turbo jam? If you like to dance, you will love these. I would get excited to work out! I take Brecklynn on jogs with me alot, she loves being outside and adds a little resistance. It is a constant struggle....good luck!
Lisa, read the Abs Diet book. It's not really a diet though. I was doing the same thing as you- pretty much skimping all day until evening, when it was an all-out gluttonfest. The Abs Diet isn't really a diet either- 3 meals a day and 3 snacks in between. I lost 22 pounds doing following the book. I want to get back on it. I ate more on the diet than I do off of it. The book has recipes for smoothies, meals, etc. It gave me great ideas for high protein, low carb, high fiber snacks and meals. Give it a try. You must know that are beautiful however you look.

I miss you and love you and think about you all the time. The other day I went into Prosper and saw Roxi?? WHat?? She's comin back? LOVE HER! How's Autumn? Is your brother still on his mission? How do you know Brittany (Dunn) Watson? I LOVE her! She is so fetchin cute, I went to HS with her.
