My Sunday...

This is THE BEST food EVER!!! It's called rouladen and is my favorite German food. My mom made this for dinner and it is out of this world. What a nice surprise to come home from church and have this waiting for me for lunch. And those noodles are straight from Germany. Our neighbors from when we lived in Germany for 2 years sent them to us. THANKS, MELITTA!!!

I spent most of the afternoon playing with little Autumn Bottom. She is just growing up so much and is so aware of her surroundings. Being her mom is the best thing in the whole entire world.

These are umbrella plants that we have by the garden, and I love looking at them. They're kind of like miniature palm trees. I've only seen them when they're all grown and spread out, so I thought this was a cool picture. They look like they're ready to just pop open and spread out at any minute. It's just a picture full of excitement and anticipation.

Mom had also been busy and made a TON of deviled eggs. People in our ward obsess over her deviled eggs, so we took a little drive around and delivered deviled eggs. We went to this really old couple's house and they were SO CUTE. These flowers were next to their driveway, and I thought they were just beautiful and pure like this old couple's love for each other. When we were leaving they just stood in the driveway holding hands and waving good bye to us. I almost got teary eyed and choked up at how tender they were with each other. There is just something magical and touching and endearing about old love (if you don't know what I'm talking about, just watch the Notebook).

Then we spent the rest of the evening doing this puzzle. I know I just talked about old love, but I also am just enamored with this puzzle of young love. I like it that the girl has curly hair like mine. I never see paintings that really portray pretty and curly hair, but this puzzle does. I also like how they both took of their gloves so they could hold hands and kiss. It was a fun puzzle to do and it's just fun to look at, too.

Which type of love do you like best...
new and young or tried and true?
