After the storm...

Today I left work a little early and went to downtown Dallas to visit a dear friend who has been in the hospital with some major health problems. This friend has been through so much in life and I look up to her SO MUCH! She is so strong and courageous. She is one of my heroes. It was so good to see her family as well. The first time I went down to see her last week, it was pretty scary. But now she's doing much better and is getting back to her feisty old self. It was so good to talk and laugh with her.

After I left the hospital, the sun was setting and the sky was gorgeous! I thought this picture just captured how I was feeling...the dark and storms are always there in life, but the sun is also shining and making things light and beautiful. I know you can't tell from this picture, but the building had stained glass at the top of it, and the sun was streaming through it, and it was just beautiful and peaceful, just like how I feel about my friend and her family.

Great picture Lisa! You are quite the photographer! As for the bucket... yes... LOVE TARGET! I bought 3 just like this one, and I've been using them for big get togethers or picnics etc. to hold the silverware in. :) I want to get some more to plant flowers in too. :) Heck, for a dollar! I just think they are soo cute too! :)

I love taking pictures of the sky after a storm. It is very calming and inspirational. Like things will always get better no matter how tough things can get.
