Go, Diego, Go!!!

Today was busy, but so fun. As you can tell, Autumn was excited for the day and festivities ahead. She's such a cheese ball. I just love her to pieces.

Lex & I went shopping for her birthday. We went to Ross and I got a few cute shirts and she got 3 really cute skirts. Then we ran to WalMart and got a few things. I got Autumn some new shoes, and she wanted to wear both pairs at once, but since that's not possible, we compromised and settled for one of each. What a pill!!! It was fun to go shopping w/ Lex w/out any kids. I'm so glad they live close so that we can see each other about once a month.

After shopping, we headed out to Weatherford for a party for Andrew and Shane. Lex & Jon brought these cakes up from Austin, and they were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I love cakes, and these were probably the best I've ever had. They were so moist and tasty! I definitely preferred the vanilla one. I was so sad that we forgot the leftovers at Aunt Sandy's!

The theme of the party was Diego, so we went on a safari hunt for animals in the backyard. Shane's little friend, Emma, was there. Everyone said Emma looks like she could be my daughter b/c she has curly hair like I do, and kind of looks like me. Emma and Autumn were cute with each other the whole day. It was weird saying Emma & Autumn, b/c Emma is the name of our dog at home!

After our safari, it was time to eat. Uncle Robert was grilling hot dogs and Tyler started joking that it's a "man thing" to stand around and watch while one person grills, so we made all the guys do their "man thing."

After we ate, it was time to open presents and then time for the pinata. Aunt Sandy had the house decorated so cute! Everyone got a string on this pinata and just pulled and Diego's back pack opened up at the bottom to spill out all the candy. The kids loved it.

I went and sat out by the pool after eating, and while I was sitting there, Tyler came up and smeared cake on my cheek! What a little stinker! I'm just glad he didn't push me in, b/c that is something he would usually do.

The little girls didn't want to play w/ all the toys the boys got for their birthdays, so we went in the other room and were playing ring around the rosy. They loved it and were having a blast. After that, it was getting late, so we packed up and headed home.

From the looks of it, Autumn had a good day!
