Today was full of non-stop fun. We woke up this morning and played with Autumn’s toys and watched the Disney Channel. Then we decided it was time to wake up Mom (at 9:30 am!) Her bra was by the bed and Autumn was putting it on like a hat, but I put it on her like it was a real bra. She actually kept it on long enough for me to get some pics b/c we were all laughing so hard at how funny it was.
After that, we went outside and pulled some weeds in the garden. Autumn was a good helper and carried the garbage bucket. When we got to the garden, she kept trying to throw away clods of dirt instead of the weeds.
After that, Dad said he wanted us to rake the leaves in the yard and put mulch out in the flowerbeds. I raked up a HUGE pile of leaves and we went and laid down in it. Autumn did NOT like it at all. We did that until about 12:30 when Autumn had enough of being outside and was ready for a nap. I put her down and then Nick and I headed over to the Book of Mormon Pageant.
In years past, Dad would play the part of Alma the Younger, but he couldn’t this year b/c he had to work. They had it last Saturday and this Saturday. I had always heard good things about it but had never been here to go to it. I was so impressed with how wonderful it was. The Mannewitz’s went to so much work to set up their property for it, the costumes were awesome, and the actors were great. It was very touching and really brought the things I read about in the Book of Mormon to life. I think my favorite part was Moroni. So powerful to hear the words of olden day prophets brought to life! Nate was one of the guards that led the groups around, but we missed him by one group and didn’t get to see him. And they asked that we not take pictures so we didn’t distract the actors and take away from the Spirit that was there. So, I was only able to get this pic of Nick out by the sign. I’m so glad we went and saw it, I definitely felt the Spirit. It just helped to strengthen my testimony that the Book of Mormon is true, that if we'll read it and pray about it we can receive a testimony that it is the word of God and is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that we can become closer to Heavenly Father from reading that amazing book.
When we got home, Dad was able to get away from work b/c they weren’t busy. We woke Autumn up b/c she had been asleep for a few hours and we headed over to Costco. We bought gas for only $1.95! I am loving these falling gas prices!
One of our friend’s sons is working at a restaurant that just opened up named Chuy’s. We got 2 invites to go and try out the food and give them our feedback, and it was ALL FREE! I think that’s such a good idea that restaurants just opening do that so the people working there (waiters, cooks, etc) get practice before they have “real” customers. It was awesome and we had a good time. Don’t worry…Mom’s strawberry daiquiri is a virgin one.
We had such a good time, and the atmosphere is so fun and the decorating is so eclectic. Autumn was really good, which was nice!
When we walked in, they gave us a slip of paper and asked us to please order something off that list, b/c they wanted to make sure that the kitchen staff got a chance to try and cook all of the dishes. I had no idea what we ordered, b/c Mom did it all. But, this is what I ended up with and it was SO GOOD! That cream sauce on the enchiladas is just like the salad dressing at Cafe Rio, except it had a little bit more kick b/c it had more jalapenos. It was so good that I wanted to drink it! It made me miss Cafe Rio and Utah so much.
I just had to post this picture. Autumn has started doing this new thing where if it’s loud then she’ll stick both her thumbs in her ears! She did this about 20 times tonight at the restaurant. SO FUNNY!

I know, we missed you at Grandma Ruth's. My camera was out of batteries so I didn't get any pics but Jana and Carly got lots. Hope you are doing well.
