Day After Thanksgiving

I have never gone shopping at the Day After Thanksgiving Sales. I guess if there were something specific that I wanted to buy that was on sale I would, but there hasn’t been. We spent the morning watching the Disney channel, making funny faces and dancing around the living room.

We decided we would put up the Christmas tree today, so Autumn & Andrew went upstairs to “help” look for the box with the tree and lights in it.

Lex & I ended up putting up the tree and were in such a silly mood. Here we are pretending that the branches of the tree are palm leaves that we were fanning ourselves with. We also pretended like they were feathers from the song “Sisters” on White Christmas.

Then after we got the tree and lights put together we wanted to take a picture of all our hard work. I started singing, “I feel pretty, oh so pretty…” from West Side Story and we were laughing so hard we couldn’t take a serious picture. It was so much fun to put up the tree w/ Lexie. We had a good time and had lots of laughs.

I was done after that, so Lex & Mom put the decorations on it. When Autumn got up from her nap, she was SO EXCITED! We turned on the tree and she started clapping and dancing around. It was such a sweet experience to see such excitement and delight in her little face. This is going to be a FUN Christmas b/c Autumn gets so excited by such simple things. I need to be more like that. I got so much joy out of watching her.

We spent the day in our jammies just eating Thanksgiving leftovers, listening to Christmas music, watching football, doing puzzles, and enjoying being together. What a fun day!
