We closed the office at 3:00 today b/c it was so slow. We came home and then Autumn & I drove back to my work b/c Nate had to take the work truck back and would need a ride home.
When we got home, Autumn needed a bath. Tonight was a breakthrough, b/c she said 2 words together. Up until now she’s just said one word at a time. But tonight during her bath she said, “More bubbles.” I know that’s nothing monumental, but I was excited about it!
Nate was packing up his room, b/c he leaves to go to BYU-I tomorrow. Autumn was “helping” him and hid in this hutch that Grandpa Jay built.
While we were waiting for the New Year to get here, we were sitting and playing with toys. Autumn found this little children’s ipod type thing that Andrew got for Christmas.
She put it on and was jammin’ out to the music. It was great b/c she could listen to the music but we didn’t have to hear it. we were laughing so hard b/c she was dancing all over the place and shaking her hips. What a kid!
We also busted out the mermaid toys that Autumn got at the Pool Party last night. I guess you get what you pay for, b/c Autumn broke the mermaid’s head off w/in 5 minutes of us opening it. Dad tried to super glue the head back on, but the pieces were too small and it just wasn’t working. So, he decided to tape it back on. Uh, can you say ghetto? We were laughing so hard, and Autumn didn’t even mind at all and kept playing w/ it as if nothing was wrong.
This is how I spent my last few minutes of 2008…doing up the dinner dishes!
Here’s our non-alcoholic sparkling apple cider that we use to toast in the New Year.
Nate & one of his many friends
I was a meanie and went in and woke Autumn up to get a picture. She must have been really tired, b/c she went right back to sleep after this picture.
Getting ready for it to hit straight up midnight.
Five, Four, Three, Two, One…HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!!!
Here’s to bigger and better things in 2009! LOL!
Andrew must have had a rough 2008. He drank so much sparkling apple cider it made him pass out drunk in the chair!
I really have been SO BLESSED this year and am incredibly thankful for all that has happened. I have been blessed with fantastic friends, fabulous family, courageous connections w/ women who have been hurt by Jason, wonderful work, sensational spiritual growth, and amazing Autumn Bottom.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and that 2009 will hold only good things for all of us!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009
