This morning was nice and relaxing. We watched our normal Disney Channel shows and then I gave Autumn a bubble bath. She decided that after I brushed her hair she wanted to brush Emma’s hair. Emma is so patient w/ Autumn!
I had to go to the store b/c we were out of milk and bread, and Mom and Aunt Jeri left to go back to Utah today. Nick was nice and watched Autumn for me while I ran and got those few groceries. I got home and took a turn sitting outside w/ Autumn while she played. These bushes in the backyard were so pretty and were such a vibrant green and red.
This face just cracks me up. It’s like she’s thinking, “You dare to interrupt my play time to take a picture? Rude!” LOL. It was getting cold outside, so I put a coat on her and I sat out there wrapped up in a blanket. I knew it was time to go inside when I kept dozing off in my chair. We went in and both took a nap.
At 6:30 we got a fun wake up call. Don showed up w/ this huge balloon and 2 bunches of flowers. One bunch was for me, and the other bunch was for Autumn! She looks all weird in this picture b/c I woke her up so she would go to sleep tonight, and she was still kind of asleep when we took this pic. The balloon has a little recorder in it and Don had recorded it to say, “Happy Valentine’s Day, sweetie!” SO CUTE!
I gave him his present of Yoshida sauce, Pursuit of Happyness, some candy, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Reese’s. Autumn wanted in on some of the chocolately goodness of Valentine’s Day. I made her some mac & cheese and Nick was nice enough to watch her for me while Don and I went out to dinner.
These flowers are absolutely gorgeous and the blue pitcher they came in is awesome, too.
We went to dinner at a super yummy Mexican restaurant called Mattito’s. The food was really good and the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. I LOVE the artwork they had on the wall.
The lighting was really cool, too. I just enjoyed spending time w/ Don. We talked about all different sorts of subjects and just got to know each other better.
After that we came home and spent some time w/ Dad & Nick & Autumn. We played another game of foosball, and I lost so I now owe Don dinner on St. Patrick’s Day! LOL! After the news, everyone else went to bed and we watched P.S. I Love You. Such a good movie! Then we sat on the couch and talked for a while, which is nice, b/c Don likes to talk about spiritual things. After that he drove me down to work, b/c I needed to get my car that I had left there when he picked me up yesterday for the hockey game.
It was a great Valentine’s Day, and I am so thankful to feel so much love from so many people. I have the greatest friends, family, co-workers, etc. My life is so blessed and I hope that all these people know I appreciate them and love them and all that they do for me. I love being Autumn’s Mom and feeling that unconditional love from her everyday is such a blessing. I hope everyone had a LOVEly Valentine’s Day.
