Dinner W/ Liz & Liberty & Don

IMG_8869 Today at work Liz decided she wanted to me to come over and cook dinner w/ her.  So, we went to Target during our lunch break and got groceries for tonight.  She also called and invited Don to make it more fun.  Mom & Dad were super nice and picked up Autumn for me so I could go over to Liz & Liberty’s right after work.  Liz got some boiling hot water on her finger when she was draining the pasta.  Then she somehow cut her finger on some tongs.  Poor Liz!

IMG_8871 Here we have the final product of all our hard work…some Thai chicken pasta.  I do have to say that it was super easy, super fast, and super yummy.

IMG_8870 I love Liz & Liberty’s apartment and I love all their kitchen stuff and dishes…everything is so new and nice since they are newlyweds.  Here we are getting ready to dish up our dinner and chow down.

IMG_8873 The food was so good that we all had seconds.  Then there were just a few bites left in the bowl so Liberty asked if anyone wanted to finish it off.  It was so good that I offered to and even ate it straight out of the bowl.  My favorite part was the snow peas.

IMG_8874 After dinner Liberty made us virgin strawberry daiquiris.  We just used a $2 mix from WalMart w/ some ice in it.  They were SO GOOD!  Liz & Liberty were the host and hostess w/ the most-est! :)

IMG_8876 One of my favorite things about today was this awesome find at WalMart…these fun and plastic fancy glasses were only $2 each and they made drinking our daiquiri’s that much more fun.  I used to have fun glasses like this when I lived w/ Grandma Ruth in her basement apartment and I would invited people over on Sunday nights to watch movies and we would have virgin pina coladas or daiquiris and drink them out of fun glasses.  Yeah for cool (and cheap) finds at WalMart!!!

IMG_8875 After dinner, we played Uno Attack and then after that we played Cranium.  It was Liz & I against Don & Liberty.  Don & Liberty won and then after that we switched it up and played Liz & Liberty against Don & I.  I had never played Cranium before, but it is a super fun game, and I discovered that I am best at the green cards (the ones where you get to act things out or imitate a famous person).  We had a chocolate mousse thing that Liz & I had made for dessert and then it was getting late, so I headed home.

I know I say this all the time, but it’s b/c it’s true.  I am so thankful to have such good friends in my life.  When I look back over the course of my life, I can think of so many wonderful people that Heavenly Father has put in my life that have become such close and dear friends.  I am thankful to all the pe0ple that have effected my life in such positive ways.  I just hope that I can be as good a friend to all those people as they have been to me.  Good friends are one of life’s greatest blessings, and I’ve been lucky to have more than my fair share of amazing friends.
