Snakes & Sweets

Today I came into work to find this lovely surprise on my desk.  One of the techs brought it in, b/c they found it stuck on a glue board at someone’s house.  Thank goodness it was dead, b/c I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been able to get this close to take a picture if it weren’t.

I’ve decided to try and make it a tradition to go to Cheddar’s on either the 17th or 24th of each month to have a Cookie Monster.  I picked the 17th b/c that’s the day of the month Autumn was born on and the 24th is the day of the month that I was born on.  And a Cheddar’s opened just a few miles from the house, so that should make this little tradition that much easier.

Since today was the 17th, I called up Liz & Liberty to see if they wanted to go w/ me.  I would have gone earlier w/ Autumn and Mom, but Biggest Loser was on and I didn’t want to miss it.  So sad, I know…that I watch Biggest Loser and then go get a Cookie Monster.  LOL!  We ordered some onion rings, and they brought out this HUGE TOWER of them!  We also got some croissants  w/ honey butter on them.  YUMMY!  Then the best part was the Cookie Monster.  I love Cheddar’s, b/c they have such good food and such cheap prices.  For the plate of croissants, tower of onion rings, and the cookie monster it was only $11!!!

Of course it was a BLAST being w/ Liz & Liberty.  We had such a good time and laughed non-stop as usual.  Liz embarrassed me right at the end when she told the waiter (who was this short and skinny white kid that was probably 18 years old) that I had a big crush on him when he brought us our check!  It’s always an adventure going out to eat w/ Liz & Liberty, and I love it and am incredibly thankful to have such fun and good friends in my life.
