Peculiar Portraits

Tonight when Dad got home from work he was playing w/ Andrew & Autumn.  Autumn took him the little magnetic drawing board.  We noticed Dad kept looking up intently at Andrew.  He was doing a portrait of Andrew.  When he finally finished we couldn’t wait to see the final masterpiece.  This is what we got!  We LOST IT and were laughing so hard we had tears streaming down our cheeks b/c the picture he drew is nothing like what we had imagined it to be.

Then we told him to draw a picture of Autumn and this is what we got.  This again sent us into fits of laughter.  My stomach hurt SO BAD from laughing so hard.  If you don’t find the humor in this, then I guess you just had to be there to understand how hilarious it was.

Dad was getting frustrated at us for laughing at him so much, so he told us to try it and see how hard it was.  We decided to all take a turn drawing Emma.  This picture is so y’all can see what she looks like and below are our various attempts at drawing a portrait of Emma.

Dad’s looked like a fox.

Mine looked like a stupid teddy bear/bunny mix (and by the way Dad was right and it was MUCH HARDER than we thought to do a decent drawing on the magnetic board).

Lexie’s looked like a cat w/ streamers on it’s ears.

Mom’s was super simple and probably looked the best.  As you can tell, none of us are super talented at drawing, but we had so much fun and laughed so hard.

We even let the kids stay up late, and this is how Andrew ended the night.  He was so tired that he didn’t even wake up when Lexie went to change his diaper before putting him to bed.  What a fun night!
