Update On Don

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind comments and well wishes for Don. Here is an update as to what is going on with him...first of all the doctors expect a full recovery. However, his pelvis was shattered, so they are going to have to piece that back together but they are pretty sure he will be able to walk again and may just have a slight limp. He had some internal bleeding in his abdominal area and they have gone in and fixed that. He is coherent and awake and can even write things on paper (he can't talk b/c they have a feeding tube down his throat). They thought he would have to be on a respirator for 3-4 days, but they were able to take that out the first night, b/c he was breathing 80% on his own and didn't need it. He's a true fighter and we are hoping everything keeps going as well as it has been going. Please still keep him in your prayers, b/c he still has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but he's doing great so far. Again, thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I know his family really appreciates it. I'll keep everyone updated as I hear more.
