Surprise Saturday

We woke up this morning to Dad outside putting in a flag pole in the yard.  If you don’t think Autumn is spoiled, check out the throne Dad made for her out of a bucket and kneeling board.  As she sits there in her pink cowboy boots while eating cereal.

Here is our brand new flag and flag pole.  I love it and think it’s so patriotic.

I don’t know if you can tell in this picture, but the cement base says Autumn, Lisa M, Nick, 4-09 (when we moved into the house).

After a while, it was getting hot, so we went over to Mom & Dad’s to swim.  But on our drive over there we saw a ton of cars parked in the grass in front of Curt’s house.  We went over to see what was going on.  They were having a garage sale and we got hooked up!  Autumn got 4 pairs of new dress up shoes, a princess doll, and a box of 15 Disney movies.  They also fed us push up popsicles that weren’t quite frozen…they were the perfect texture.  It was SO HOT out there that we were dripping sweat just from sitting in the shade.

We got over to Mom & Dad’s to swim.  Gerdy was up on top of the dog house!  She started bleating b/c she was hungry and it sounded like she was being slowly stabbed in the heart w/ a spoon…it was so pathetic and sad.  Anyways, we swam for most of the afternoon and had so much fun.

After we had all had enough sun, we all went home and got cleaned up.  We went over to the stake center for Alison & Braulio’s reception.  They had some super yummy tacos and horchata drinks.

Autumn had a great time running around w/ the other kids that were there.

Alison & Braulio looked so cute together.  I am so happy for them and wish them the best of luck in their new lives together.  They are perfect for each other.  Their cake was good and had a layer of flan on the top of it.

Here’s the group of us from work.  It was a super fun evening.
