Six Flags

Yesterday was a good day.  Autumn & I had a relaxing morning, got ready for church, went to church, came home and relaxed.  Then at 7:30 Michael, Jacob, & Krystina came up to visit.  We had steak & everything sandwiches.  Then Liz & Liberty came over to visit and we had ice cream/angel food cake.  We sat around and talked and laughed and had a good time.  After they left, we watched an Indiana Jones movie.  Then I took them over to Mom & Dad’s where they all spent the night.

This morning we woke up and had waffles, eggs, and bacon for breakfast.  After everyone was cleaned up, we headed over to Six Flags.  It was so stinkin’ hot (104 degrees) that there was hardly anyone there.  We didn’t have to wait AT ALL for any of the rides.  We rode the Titan twice in a row, and it was awesome.  That 24 foot drop is insane.

We walked around to some other rides.  Then we went and rode Superman.  When we got off the ride, Jacob said he wasn’t feeling very well.  He then proceeded to throw up in the bushes.  We walked out of the ride and he threw up again.  Then we were walking down the main road and he threw up again!  Poor guy!  It reminded me of that scene on the Sandlot where all the boys throw up after the spinning ride.  We sat in some shade for a while so Jacob could recover.  You wouldn’t believe how many people didn’t watch where they were going and walked right through it!

Luckily there was a light breeze, so it wasn’t completely unbearable.  Plus we stayed hydrated.  I went and stood under one of the misting stations, and I do NOT recommend that.  That water must have come from the nasty stagnant ponds near the misting system b/c some got in my mouth and it was NASTY!  They had these beautiful flowers all over the park, which were gorgeous.  The only thing I didn’t like were the masked characters like Buggs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Marvin the Martian, etc.  I have a horrible phobia of people in costumes.  But, we were able to avoid them so I did OK.

Because it was so hot and Jacob wasn’t feeling well, we stopped and got these scrumptious popsicle things called, “Pink Things.”  They were super yummy.  We left the park around 2:00 and headed back to Mom & Dad’s to swim and relax.  The pool felt so good after being so hot and sweaty all day.

After swimming, we got cleaned up and I went and got Autumn from daycare.  We met up at Cheddar’s to eat b/c we were all starving.  I LOVE their onion rings…look at that tower of rings and it was only $3.99!!!  Anyways, the food was awesome.  Michael & I were arguing over who was going to pay and while we were doing that, Mom secretly slipped the waiter her credit card!

After eating, we went home and watched Dejavu.  That was a really good movie.  By this time, it was 10:00 and Michael & Krystina & Jacob had to head back home b/c they had to be to work early tomorrow.  It was such a fun weekend and I had such an amazing time.  It was non stop fun w/ great friends.  It was also so much fun to have the day off of work.
