Beautiful Bouquet

Sunday was good and I got a calling at church to be the music specialist in Relief Society.  Basically, I get to lead the music which is fine by me, b/c that way I can try and work off my Relief Society arms (you know, that flap of skin on the under side of your arms that jiggles?)  After church we went to Mom & Dad’s house  and had a yummy dinner of pork roast and potatoes and peas w/ cream.  Scrumptious!  We came home and Autumn had to get out almost every book she owns and sat and read to herself on the couch.  She’s so dang cute.

Monday we went over to Mom & Dad’s after work & school to swim b/c it was so hot.  I am so mad at myself, but I had left my camera on the computer table! :(  We had a yummy dinner and then spent the rest of the evening swimming.

Tuesday was just a regular day of daycare, work, dinner, watching TV, reading books, playing w/ babies, etc.  Today at work, we did get pizza for meeting our sales goal, and it was GOOOOOD pizza w/ a cheese stuffed crust (thank you Nathan & Steve).  I had so many pieces that I felt like I should try and work some of it off.  I went on a 30 min speed walk around the duck pond.  It felt so good to be outside in nature w/ a full moon and feeling the air in my lungs.

Today I was sitting at my desk and routing out stops for the first week of September when there was a knock at the back door.  We answered and it was the UPS guy, which is nothing out of the ordinary.  However, this was a SPECIAL DELIVERY!  He had a box of flowers w/ my name on them.  I opened the box and there were a dozen long-stemmed fire & ice roses!  There was also the most gorgeous red glass vase to put them in.

I love these roses, b/c they aren’t really red or pink, they’re all sorts of varying shades of those two colors.  They are breathtaking.  And not only are the gorgeous, but they smell incredible.

The note that came w/ the roses was the best, though.

Everyday that I’m with you is the best day of my life.  I love you always and forever.  You’re my everything.

I left work early (we get off early every once in a while if there is an extra day in the pay period so we don’t have overtime) and went and got my nails done.  I had to take my flowers inside so they wouldn’t wilt in the hot car.  Everyone oohed and ahhed over the flowers and I felt like a princess.  The people in there asked me if it was my birthday or something and that is why I got flowers.  I beamed and had the biggest grin on my face when I got to tell them my honey sent me flowers “just because.”

We have hardly any groceries in the house, so I stopped at Jack In The Box to get their Big Meal Deal.  It’s a drink, fries, a taco, and a hamburger for get this…only $3!!!  I had seen the commercial on TV and thought it was going to be a kid-sized drink and kid-sized fries, but it was normal sized.

Autumn & I ate our cheap dinner and then watched the So You Think You Can Dance finale.  I for sure would vote for Brandon.  He is so athletic and such an amazing dancer…his solo was insanely good.  It was a nice and relaxing evening and I loved talking to my Michael.  He is so good to me.  I updated my status on Facebook about Michael giving me flowers and a good friend from back in my BYU days put a comment on there that made me so happy.
