This morning we woke up and Dad made us waffles for breakfast. After we had all eaten, Mom woke up and then she made us sausage and eggs! I am going to gain more than 10 pounds this weekend from all the good food!
After that we spent the morning playing Wii bowling. I was squatting down helping Autumn bowl. Her and Andrew had a blast “bowling.”
My car has been having some issues w/ starting, so Michael & Autumn & I went to WalMart to get it replaced and also pick up a few groceries and a present for Jon & Andrew for the party. Autumn was HORRIBLE in WalMart and was screaming and throwing a fit. It didn’t stop when we got home, either. It probably doesn’t help that Nathan & Michael like to egg her on. Nate put on his bug spraying mask to scare her…poor thing!
We got Andrew a Spiderman costume, b/c he’s into Spiderman big time. Autumn insisted on carrying it around the store, and when we got home I didn’t even get a chance to wrap it b/c she walked right over and handed it to Andrew. He was so excited that he wanted Michael to open it on the spot, he didn’t want to wait for the party.
Spiderman came over to tell us thank you for the gift. He makes such a cute little Spiderman.
We waited until Dad got home around 2:00 to have the party. We grilled some chicken and had watermelon and drinks. Then, it was time for the part I’ve been waiting for…THE CAKE! It’s THE ABSOLUTE BEST CAKE EVER from the Cake Plate. Lexie & Jon brought up a chocolate one for Jon & the Mexican Vanilla one for Andrew. Both cakes got so hot that the frosting melted off the sides a little bit. But we didn’t care…it still tasted amazing. They had Andrew’s decorated w/ a Spiderman theme.
Autumn decided that she was going to “help” Andrew open his presents. He was a good sport and let her help. He got some more Spiderman stuff, of course.
The kids had a blast swimming, and we all got a little sunburned, but it was so much fun and the pool felt so good.
I was supposed to go to a wedding reception tonight, but I didn’t realize how late it was and totally missed it! :( Sorry, Tommy. Michael & I headed over to Lewisville to meet up w/ Jason & Heather. We ate at BJ’s Brewhouse and they have some amazing root beer and even better pizza. They do Chicago style deep dish pizza and we got a large to share and it was HUGE. We only ate 1/2 of it and each had 2 pieces each to take home. We did 1/2 and 1/2 with Mediterranean and chicken BBQ.
Jason & Heather are so much fun to be around and I love just sitting back and listening to the banter that goes on between Jason & Michael. They have known each other for such a long time and are so funny together.
After we ate, we went over to Best Buy so Michael could get a new phone. He had it in his swimsuit trunks and jumped into the pool and didn’t realize it. We put it in a bag of rice so the rice would absorb the moisture, but it takes a few days. Heather is pregnant w/ twins and is just barely starting to show and we saw this sign on the way in.
Michael took FOREVER but finally got a new phone and then we headed over to Jason & Heather’s to play a game. It’s called Buzz and you play it on a PS2, and it was SO FUN! We played 3 rounds and I lost every time! By this time it was 11:00, so we left to drive home. We got home and talked to Nate for a while and then watched Last Holiday. We finally crashed and burned at 2:00 am. It was such a fun day, that I just didn’t want it to end.

I'm so grateful that we have awesome friends. I love hanging out with Liz and Liberty. They make me laugh and I'm so thankful that Liz is such an amazing friend to you.
Of course I'm glad that we have Jason and Heather, too. They are a great couple for us, because you and Heather keep Jason and I contained to a "reasonable raucous." I love you for that!!
