Today we got to go into work at 9:00 instead of 8:00 b/c of the icy roads. It was nice to have that extra time this morning and made the day go by a lot faster. Anyways, on the drive into work today Liz & I saw some interesting license plates. Why would anyone want a license plate that says, “5 FT TALL”? That’s not something to brag about. I guess it made it a little better that it was a woman driving this SUV instead of a man. That would have been even more weird.
“RDM II”?
Run Down Man II?
Revolutionary Dance Music II?
“If you can identify this bird you are too close.”
I thought this was a dumb one, b/c I wasn’t too close to this car and even if I had this sign 2 inches from my face I wouldn’t be able to identify this bird. Is it a rare yellow beaked something or other? Or is it just a good old bluebird? I wouldn’t know.
Since we came in an hour later today, I was able to check something off my list of things I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Ever since Liz & I went to La Paloma for lunch forever ago, I’ve wanted to go there and get a breakfast burrito. However, it’s usually closed when we drive by at 7:45 am on our way to work. But today when we drove by at 8:45, it was open. So, we pulled up to the drive through and ordered our breakfast burritos. And then we sat and waited and waited and waited. I think they were out back plucking the chicken. Oh, well. At least we knew the food was fresh.
Their breakfast burrito was ok, but nothing even close to what I was hoping it would taste like…a Beto’s burrito. Guess I’ll just have to wait for my next trip to Utah to satisfy my craving for an awesome breakfast burrito.
(I have no idea why I’m holding the burrito up to my ear. It looks like I’m trying to talk on a cell phone.)
It was an interesting morning, that’s for sure. I felt so bad for out techs who had to be out treating in 9 degree weather with the wind chill factor. BRRR!
