$1 Deals

IMG_3171 Last night after the movie, I just came over to Mom & Dad’s and spent the night b/c Autumn was burning up w/ a fever and I didn’t want to wake her up and take her home.  But, she woke up when I came in anyways, so I gave her some medicine and that helped a lot.  We woke up this morning and watched cartoons and just chilled on the couch.  Do you think this little girl is spoiled at all?  Look at her surrounded by people that love her so much.  I love how she has her arms around both of their necks.

IMG_3175 I fear that the scary bat is going to be a permanent fixture at Mom & Dad’s house now.  It has a Christmas hat, a heart for Valentine’s Day, and now a shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day.  Autumn makes sure to bless the scary bat in all her prayers and always says, “Scary bat, he nice.”

IMG_3174 Dad told Autumn to hold Emma and give her a love and Autumn was saying, “No, Emma too heavy.”  We all got a good chuckle out of that, b/c Emma is a small dog and weighs maybe a total of 8 lbs.

IMG_3178 We got cleaned up and went to lunch at Wendy’s to get a mandarin chicken salad.  Then we went to Kroger to get some groceries.  Autumn wanted to ride in this car and told me, “drive crazy, Mama.”  So, I would zig and zag down the aisles.  When we were checking out, I noticed these little gift baskets on the floor by some Valentine’s Day stuff that was on sale.  They come in a cute basket w/ a bottle of Coke and some candy bars.  The best part is they were marked down from $12.99 to $3.00 to $1.00!!!  So, I got all 9 of them and can use them for gifts or Easter treats from the Easter Bunny for the kids.  I LOVE finding a good deal.

When we were leaving the store, Autumn didn’t want to leave the blue and yellow car and started throwing a fit.  This old grandma was walking out and Autumn yelled at her and the grandma yelled back.  It was pretty funny until I said to the grandma, “We’re just having one of those days,” and she said, “I had 4 kids of my own and I would NEVER have allowed them to act like that.”  I wanted to say to her, “yeah, back in your day you probably beat your kids and if I did that to my child, I’d get reported to child protective services.”  She probably was so old she forgot what it was like to have a little 3 year old, so I just brushed it off.

We came home and put the groceries away and just spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching the Olympics.  Mom has a bad cough and Autumn is still not feeling 100%.  I hope it’s just a 24 hour bug.  But it was nice to just relax and chill out.
