On the way home from work, Dad called and said he had gone and picked up Autumn from daycare and that we should all go to the park for FHE. Mom met us there and had just come from getting her nails done and getting a pedicure. She came walking over to the picnic table wearing the little foot slippers they give you at the nail salon! LOL! At least her toes looked nice.
Mom brought us some KFC and it was really good. It was the double chicken breast box. One was fried and one was grilled and they were both excellent and so were the fries. I had some left over cupcakes from yesterday that I took to work today that the ladies at work didn’t eat, so I brought them to the park. Autumn kept saying happy birthday, so we decided to go w/ the flow and sing, “Happy Birthday,” to Emma since she was born sometime in March. Emma was so happy to be at the park and was running around like a brand new puppy.
After eating, it was time to go play on the playground. Autumn loved having Papa as her shadow and had him help her down the slide, up the slide, around the toys, and all over.
She was showing him her awesome climbing skills that she perfected at the park yesterday.
I love that she enjoys being outside so much and finds happiness in the simplest things like rocking back and forth on the ducks.
Such joy and innocence in her sweet little face.
I love that Dad is not just a spectator, he gets right in there and participates and has as much fun as Autumn. He is the best Papa ever and was even going around and picking up trash he saw on the playground. He’s such a good example all the time.
I love this picture of Autumn & Dad.
I also love this one too of them watching someone on the soccer fields flying their model plane. We sure took advantage of the extra hour of daylight.
When it was time to go, Autumn kept saying, “I not walk. I not walk.” So, Dad gave her a piggy back ride to the car. She kept taking his hat off and putting it back on.
I think this has to be my favorite picture of the day. Autumn took his hat and put it on her own head. I love the smile on his face and also on hers. You can tell she’s so happy even though you can’t see her eyes. Such a tender moment frozen in time and this, my friends, is the reason I am such a picture fanatic.
I have noticed this big and beautiful tree at the entrance to Mom & Dad’s subdivision and since I had my camera w/ me tonight, I had to stop and take a picture. I can’t help but see a tree like this and think, “I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree.”
White and pink blossoms just make my heart so happy. Spring has sprung and I am so glad. It’s my favorite time of the year and I intend on taking full advantage of the amazing weather and enjoying the blooming flowers and resurgence of life that comes w/ spring.
