Today when we got home, Autumn found the flamingo I won at the luau the other night. She kept pretending to “ride” it around the house like a horse. I loved this back side picture of her.
I was about to make dinner when Dad called and said he was off of work tonight and he and Mom couldn’t find a good movie to go to, so they wanted to take us out to dinner. We were ALL for that, so they stopped by to get us and we went to McDonald’s so Autumn could play. She actually ate all of her chicken nuggets, which was good b/c she usually only eats one before she’s done and wants to go play. She is such a happy little girl (most of the time) and was just laughing up a storm.
After eating, it was time to go play. We were at the new McDonald’s near our house and it is SUPER NICE. It’s really modern and fancy. There was this group of ladies sitting at a table and they were dressed up super nice and had on fur coats and everything. I was like, “um…did you know you’re at McDonald’s?” It was kind of funny.
Autumn had a BLAST playing on the playground there. She would just come take little breaks to get a lick of ice cream and then she’d be right back at playing. There was a little girl there that goes to Autumn’s daycare, and they had fun playing together and running around.
There was this little boy there that was really loud and bossy. He kept telling everyone how to play and what to say and where to go. Mom just started laughing when she heard him and I asked her what she was laughing about. She just shook her head and said that is exactly how I used to be when I was little. I was little Miss Bossy Pants and always wanted to manage everyone and tell them how to do things. We got a good laugh about it.
We were sitting and watching Autumn play when we got a call from Curt saying he was at hockey practice and got hit really hard in the foot w/ a puck and thought he had broken his toe. So, Dad told him to stop by McDonald’s and he would take a look at it! So not only was McDonald’s a place for fancy ladies to meet, it’s now an exam room! LOL!
Dad didn’t think it was broken, but wanted to get it X-rayed just to be sure. We needed to get Autumn home, b/c she had been playing for an hour and a half, and it was getting late. Autumn was happy to see Uncle Curt and Mary, but didn’t want to leave. We finally had to just drag her out of there. Dad went to the clinic w/ Curt, and us girls went home in the other car. Autumn was so hyper and was laughing like a crazy woman the whole way home. It was so infectious and was making all of us laugh. She’s such a little love bug and I’m glad we got to spend time w/ Papa & Mimi tonight.
