Neighborhood Nature Walk

Today after church, we went over to Mom & Dad’s house.  Autumn is OBSESSED w/ peaches and ate a whole jar and a half of these!  Which is a miracle in and of itself, b/c Dad usually doesn’t share these w/anyone.

We just couldn’t stay inside all day b/c it was so gorgeous outside.  So, we went on a little walk around the neighborhood w/our camera.  We found these gorgeous purple hyacinths in the backyard.  I love them!

Then we found this pink blossom tree, which was perfect b/c it was just Autumn’s size so she could smell the blossoms.

I hope she’s going to be a nature lover just like her Mama and learn to appreciate the beauty that nature has.

We found the pretty popcorn looking trees.  I was tempted to sing the popcorn song, but didn’t.  I just enjoyed Autumn looking at the flowers and having fun running around.

I liked the way the sun was shining behind these flowers and lighting them up and casting shadows.

We had to get in a couple of silly face shots just for fun.  The flowers made the perfect pretty background.

We found some little purple flowers and Autumn wanted to pick them and take them home w/ us.

Then we found a few patches of bluebonnets in our neighbor’s yard.  I LOVE bluebonnets.

I told Autumn not to pick any of these…that she could just touch them but that’s all.  She was very obedient.

We went to another neighbor’s yard and knocked on the door to see if we could take some pictures of this hot pink tree in his yard and he said we could.

I LOVED the hot pink blossoms.  I don’t understand how anyone cannot think spring is the best season ever.   Perfect weather outside, everything starts to bloom, new life starts, etc.  It makes me so happy!
