Tacos And DWTS

Tonight on the way home, Mom called and invited us over to have tacos for dinner.  They were so good and Autumn loved that she was able to “share” with Papa (more like she ate his tacos).  We also watched the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars.  Can I just say how much I LOVE and am OBSESSED with Niecy Nash?  I have loved her for years ever since I saw her on Clean House (I’ve never seen Reno 911).  I love that she had a big old bite of a hamburger right before she danced.  And I loved that she was all sassy when she was out on the dance floor.  It took me aback when she got emotional after her dance.  I almost started crying b/c it meant so much to her and I’ve never seen her quiet and emotional.

It was awesome when she said that she likes her “jiggly parts” and is proud of them.  And then at the end when she said she danced that dance for all the big girls out there.  She had said earlier she used to dance until she was in the 8th grade and was the biggest girl on the dancing team and they made her stay in the back where she couldn’t be seen and she hadn’t wanted to dance since then.  She said she’s no longer hiding in the back row and she is loud and proud and in the spotlight now.  It was awesome and inspired me to get up and move.  I came home and put Autumn to bed and then when Nick got home I went on a speed walk around the neighborhood.
