Tires & Holes In The Wall

IMG_2436This morning, I woke up at 8:00 and got all cleaned up for the day. I left Autumn w/ Nick and went and got my nails done. I LOVE getting that done once a month. It’s my little treat to myself. I came home and got Autumn ready for the day and then made a few phone calls to find a place to buy a new tire. On Friday, Liberty noticed that my front passenger’s side tire was completely bald! So, we went to the tire store to get a new one.

IMG_2423 The wait for the tire was 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours, so we walked across the street to a little Thai noodle place. It’s always a gamble to go to a little hole in the wall, b/c sometimes you hit the jackpot and other times it can be a little scary. However, I was VERY impressed w/ this place. They had a cute little plate for Autumn that said, “yum” on it.

IMG_2426 I also LOVED the decor and ambiance in the restaurant. I know these pictures aren’t the best, but I only had my point and shoot camera. I thought the glass bubble lamp when you first walk in were cool not to mention these twisted wooden sticks that separated one part of the restaurant from the other. They had really fresh and vibrant colors all over. Like the picture on the right that had glittery green balls in the middle of the sticks that were in a modern type box.

IMG_2428 They had this huge shelving all the way to the ceiling that had different height flickering candles. I ordered the fried pan noodles w/ chicken. This is how it came, which was very appealing. You let the noodles soak in the gravy at the bottom of the bowl and they get soft and yummy. It was extremely tasty.

IMG_2422 This was one of the big pieces of art on the wall, which I loved. I wish I could design a room of my house like this restaurant. The music they had playing was also very hip and gave the whole restaurant a cool feeling. I would for sure go back there again.

IMG_2432We finished eating and went to see if our car was finished. It wasn’t quite done yet, so we sat down to wait for a few minutes. Autumn went around and said hi to everyone else that was sitting and waiting for their cars to be done. It’s funny how kids can be so outgoing and loving and everyone loves them and think it’s cute.

IMG_2435 She got tired of waiting and wanted to lay down on the bench. They were finally done w/ our car, so we got it and went to Mom & Dad’s. They had to leave after 30 minutes to go to a birthday party. Autumn & I just hung out there and I checked some blogs and we watched Mulan.

IMG_3839 Mou called and said they were going to a party at the church for a job well done on last week’s Relief Society program. I love that the Tongans party and celebrate so much. Especially b/c there is always good food. They had teriyaki chicken, pasta salad, sausage, pork, beef, and my favorite was the clear noodle chop suey. After we ate, one girl danced and they sang a few songs. It was very nice and a lot of fun.

IMG_3841 We went to leave and I could NOT believe that it was snowing and there was snow accumulated on the cars! It was 65 degrees just a few days ago…how on earth could it be snowing? Anyways, we went over to Mou’s sister’s (Kesa) house and watched Pride & Prejudice on my laptop. Then he went home to his place and Autumn & I went to sleep in one of the guest rooms on an air mattress. It was so nice of Kesa to let Autumn & I stay there b/c of the scary weather.
