On my ride into work today, this is what I saw. As I came driving up on it, I thought they were the names of this person’s kids. A lot of cars around here have stickers on the back window w/ their kids’ names. Then as I got closer I thought maybe it was all the clubs their kids are in and the paw prints are b/c the kids go to a school w/ a mascot like a leopard. However, as I got closer I realized those are all names of her pets! Talk about an animal lover! And you can’t tell in this picture, but there was a big dog hanging it’s head out the back passenger window. Different strokes for different folks.
For lunch today, we ordered Potbelly’s sandwiches, b/c we met our autopay goal. I got the wreck, and it was so incredibly juicy and tasty. I try to enjoy and savor every single bite b/c it’s so good.
Tonight on our way home Mom called and said to come meet her at McDonald’s. I LOVE the McDonald’s by our home b/c it’s new and has a modern and stream-lined decorating scheme. Plus, the kids area is awesome. They have this big long table w/ some butcher paper running down it and a bucket of crayons that the kids can use to draw.
We went to leave b/c the skies were getting dark and the heavens opened and it started POURING rain! I ran to the car and got drenched. I drove the car up next to the door, so Autumn could get in w/ out getting too wet. Mom wouldn’t get in so I could drive her over to her car…she walked there and it was as if she had just gotten out of the pool or stepped out of the shower, b/c it was raining so hard.
Once we got home and were in our nice and dry house, I was LOVING the rain. It was an awesome Texas thunderstorm. I love the stark flash of light and then the deep rumble of the thunder all while hearing the thud of the rain on the roof. There’s just something magical about Texas rain storms.
