Today Nate drove into work w/ me so he could get a truck fixed up to use for the summer to treat for bugs. Anyways, he didn’t bring a lunch with him, so we went to Wendy’s for lunch. While we were there, I kept noticing this guy walk in to the restaurant and then he would go out and sit in his car and eat and come back in the restaurant. He did that about 4 times, and I noticed that he looked and walked and had a lot of the same mannerisms as Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld. He even had on high water pants. I just HAD to sneak a picture of him and got the biggest kick out of him coming in and out in and out of the restaurant. I was expecting for Newman to come walking in with him one time!
We had a great time watching him and laughing while we enjoyed our lunch. I’m glad Nater Skater is back to stay for a while. After we got back from lunch everything was going like a normal Friday until 1:30 when a guy that was working on our computers had to turn off the internet for a while. We were told it would be back up and running in 30 minutes. Well, 30 minutes turned into 3 hours, so we finally left at 4:30 since we couldn’t get any work done! That was a fun treat to get off early (although I still had to go over to Mom & Dad’s house to use their internet and work for about another hour to call back all the people that had called in while our internet was down).
Mom said she had this yummy veggie dip that Sis. Wright had brought over when she came to quilt on Monday. I can’t even begin to describe how good this dip is. I literally ran my finger around the inside of the bowl when it was gone to get every little last morsel, and licked my fingers clean. And then Mom made some more of it b/c we all loved it so much. It’s definitely better if you let it sit for a little bit so that the dried onions can soften up.
Sis. Wright’s Veggie Dip
8 oz sour cream
8 oz mayonnaise (REAL, not the nasty low fat kind)
1 Tbs minced dried onions
1 Tbs parsley flakes
1 tsp dill weed
1 tsp Bon Apetite (or Accent)
Here is what the new patio covering looks like. It’s super nice and I know we’re going to enjoy it for years and years to come.
I love that the lights are flush with the roof and that we have a nice fan to keep us cool during the hot summers. We’re now ready for a summer of fun out by the pool, but we’ll be nice and shaded.
The weather has been so perfect lately, so Autumn wanted to spend sometime outside playing in the sand box.
And of course it’s not a normal evening outside unless she rolls up her pant legs and gets as close to the edge of the pool as she can. I was talking on the phone w/ Rufio and told her if she heard me scream and drop the phone it would just be b/c Autumn might fall in and I might have to go in after her. Luckily, she didn’t fall in, so I got to stay dry. The pool is still too cold to go swimming in, but it will be swim time in the next month.
We stayed over at Mom & Dad’s until 10:00. We just watched TV and hung out and talked. It was a great Friday evening in.
