“I Have A Rock In My Nose”

After work/school, we went over to Mom & Dad’s. Mom said she had a coupon for free queso at On The Border, so we went there for dinner. Dad was at work, but Nick came w/ us. Autumn was in a silly mood and after we ate she was dancing around in the aisle. The lady behind her in this picture came in about half way through our meal and was super pretty, but she was wearing really strong perfume and it didn’t smell very good! YUCK!

On the car ride to On The Border, Autumn said, “Mama, I have a rock in my nose.” Mom started laughing hysterically (in a "Ha ha welcome to Motherhood type way) and I told Autumn to look up at the sky so I could see if there was something up her nose. I could see something but when I pushed on her nose, it didn’t feel hard. But, sure enough she did have something up there. So, when Dad got home from work he looked to see if he could get it out. We had to tie her up in a towel so she couldn’t move her hands.

This is the lovely bean that she had put up her nose. I was so impressed w/ how Dad got it out. I thought he was going to have to stick little pliers up there and pull it out, but he didn’t. He filled up a little blue bulb (the kind you use to suction out a baby’s nose) with water. Then he told me to hold Autumn tight b/c she was going to be coughing and getting water all over. He put the bulb up her nostril that wasn’t blocked and really fast and hard pushed the water from the bulb up her nose. Sure enough, water and the bean came out the other nostril! So sneaky! Autumn wasn’t too happy about it but is glad the “rock” is out now. We had a talk about how she shouldn’t put things up her nose anymore or else she’ll have to do that again. However, I'm really glad she told me instead of finding out in a few days when the bean had sprouted and started to stink. GROSS!

We came home and I put her to bed and then went over to Karri’s to watch Bachelorette w/ her and Mary (don’t worry, Nick was home w/ Autumn just in case she woke up). It was a crazy show tonight w/ Justin having a girlfriend. What a creep. I was so glad she got rid of Craig! It was so awkward when they were together b/c you could tell he wanted to kiss her and her body language was saying, “NO WAY!” I was shocked about how much they showed of the next few episodes at the end of tonight’s show! I am excited for next week and am still rooting for Roberto!
