After all of the excitement and fun of last week, today was so normal and average. We went to school/work and then stopped at the store to grab a few groceries (like milk b/c we’ve been out of it for 3 days). Then we came home and made quesadillas for dinner b/c they’re fast and easy and we were both starving. There really wasn’t anything good on TV tonight and Autumn wanted to watch a movie. So, she picked Prince of Egypt and we had the Blue Bell ice cream Ashley bought for a treat. I LOVE the movie Prince of Egypt. I forgot how good the songs are. My favorites are “When You Believe” and “Through Heaven’s Eyes” and “Deliver Us.”
Autumn disappeared into her room after the movie and came out wearing this adorable dress that Aunt Jeri had made her last year. She wasn’t happy w/ me b/c I had put some lotion on her nose and lip to help keep the scabbing and scaring to a minimum and didn’t want her picture taken. After the movie was over, we read some books and one of them was Mulan. When we got to the part where the matchmaker says, “You may look like a bride but you will never bring your family honor,” I read it just like the lady on the movie says it. Autumn freaked out and hid her face and started crying and said I scared her! Poor little bug. I put her to bed 15 minutes earlier than usual b/c I don’t think she’s used to being back on this regular schedule yet. I don’t think I am either…I liked being able to sleep in and play all day. Oh, well!
I made some time tonight for something fun. At 9:45 I went over to Karri’s to watch The Bachelorette. She records it and then her and Mary and I watch it later so we can fast forward through all the commercials. But, since Mary was in Indonesia the last 2 weeks to pick up Scott from his mission, we haven’t watched it. So, there was a lot of catching up to do and I didn’t get home until 2:30 am, but it was definitely worth it. We watched the show for a while and then started talking and I can’t express how much I love and appreciate these amazing women.

that is one of the things I miss the very most about living in TX... Blue Bell icecream! The homemade vanilla was my FAVE!
