Today Autumn & I got up around 8:30 and made some turkey bacon and omelets for breakfast. Then Autumn watched a movie while I blogged about yesterday. Then Miss B & Ashley woke up and we made sure they got some breakfast and then it was time to get ready for the day. We put the girls in the tub and let them play.
Autumn wanted to wash B’s hair, but I wouldn’t let her pour water over B, so she would dip this little foam flower in the water and then rub it on B’s head. It was so cute to see them playing together in the tub.
After their bath, we wrapped them up in towels and put them on my bed to dry off and get warm. There is nothing I can think of that is cuter than a sweet baby all fresh out of the tub and wrapped up in a soft towel.
Anyways, we got dressed and headed out the door. We went over to the outlet malls to try and find some cowgirl boots for Miss B. We stopped in Baby Gap and Autumn found these pink jellies and sat down in the middle of the store and put them on and refused to take them off. Since they were only $7, I went ahead and bought them for her. We walked down to Carter’s and Autumn was walking funny and telling me, “They not working, Mama!” Miss B was such a good little girl in her stroller, but Autumn started to have a meltdown. So, we went back to the car and left to get some lunch.
We stopped at Market Street to get some penne dolcelatta, which was amazing as usual. We stopped in at Kid to Kid in hopes of finding some cowgirl boots. We didn’t find any, but we found some good deals for the girls. Autumn got a new swimsuit for $3.50, a new Sunday dress for $7, and a cute 4th of July dress for $5.50. Miss B got some new ruffle socks, some cute socks that look like cowgirl boots, and some adorable shoes. We put the girls in this little play pen area to keep them entertained while we hunted for deals.
By this point the girls were ready to run around and play, so we went over to Mom & Dad’s. The three little kids got out the toy box and had a blast. Dad LOVED having his grandbabies playing and having fun. We’re just missing Bubzy & Justy & Jewelsy.
Mom had rented the Tooth Fairy from Red Box last night but we weren’t able to watch it, so we watched it this afternoon while the kids played. If there is any celebrity that I could make out with, it would DEFINITELY be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Look at what a hottie he is…be still my beating heart!
Poor Autumn’s little nose and lip look so horrible today! We tried to make sure we kept ointment on the place where she got scraped up so it won’t scab or scar too bad. Ashley says she looks like a cute but tough little kid.
Autumn & Andrew wanted to go swimming, but Miss B was just too tuckered out to swim, so she & Ashley stayed inside while the rest of us went out to swim for a little bit.
We came back in and got cleaned up. The kids were just playing w/ the toys in the living room when Andrew came around w/ this trap and tea cups and asked if we would like some coffee! We were all shocked and started laughing b/c none of us drink coffee and Lexie has no idea where he would know to even offer something like that!
The kids had some pent up energy that they needed to get out, so we had a little dance party. It was fun to just jump around and shake our bummies and laugh.
Miss B liked being around Emma & Trace. Emma was on one side of the gate & Miss B was on the other but wanted to be on Emma’s side so she kept reaching her hand through to try and pet Emma.
After playing for a while, we wanted to go and check out a new store we saw called the Purple Cow. We thought it was an ice cream parlor, but it was a sit down restaurant, but we just wanted some Blue Bell ice cream. But, we discovered a little water fountain/play area for kids and let the girls go play. I think this picture of the girls is ADORABLE and I might need to get it printed off (and crop out the random girl in the shot).
Miss B had so much fun playing in the water. Ashley would hold her hands and swing her legs so they would get in the water and then she would just hold her like this so she could put her hands in the water. She had the cutest expressions of joy on her face.
Autumn was really cautious at first and didn’t want to get her clothes wet and would only put her feet in. But the longer we let them play, the more brave and daring she got. I don’t know what it is w/ her and her hair, but she does this in the pool too…where she just dips the ends of her hair in to get them wet.
It was such a fun and spontaneous evening. When it finally started to get dark, we got the girls out of their wet clothes and stopped by the store to get some Blue Bell ice cream. Ashley ran in while I waited out in the car w/ the girls. It is so nice to have a 2nd set of eyes and hands to help.
We came home and ate ice cream (which was SOOO good) and then Ashley gave Miss B a bath and put her in these sweet little terry cloth jammies she got at the store today, and then it was off to bed for Miss B and Autumn fell asleep on the couch. Ashley & I stayed up until midnight just talking and laughing. I’m so sad they’re leaving tomorrow! The time has just gone by WAY TOO FAST!
