Sunny Saturday

IMG_6336 This morning we got up and got ready for the day and then headed over to Mom & Dad’s.  Jon & Lexie & Andrew had gotten in late last night and were already awake and ready to play when we got there.  Jon brought his activator to adjust Nate & Mom & Autumn wanted to have him adjust her Care Bear and was supervising the process.

IMG_6340 My tooth has been hurting lately and yesterday a little piece of it broke off, so I told Lexie to bring her dental tools up when they came so she could look at it for me.  She didn’t find anything, but we were laughing the whole time.

IMG_6342 I had to leave and go to work for a few hours.  We had our mobile showroom at a hardware store in downtown Dallas, and it was SO STINKIN’ HOT, but while I was there we got 4 appointments set up, so that was good.  I left my camera at Mom & Dad’s and told Lexie to take pictures while I was gone.  The kids made waffles w/ Papa for breakfast.

IMG_6344 Then at lunch time they got hungry and wanted some string cheese.  Lexie told them to, “Say cheese,” while holding their string cheese.  Such a cute picture of them!

IMG_6362 I got home and we had grilled hotdogs and corn on the cob and watermelon.  Then it was time to swim.  The kids had a blast having Dad push them around on this floaty.

IMG_6370 Then Autumn wanted her own, so we got out the other floaty and had a floaty war where we would run them into each other.  Then we started a new game where Dad & I sat on the seats in the deep end and Lexie & Mom stood in the shallow end and we pushed the kids around in a big circle on their floaties.  They had a blast and could have done that all day.

IMG_6375 After we got out, the kids wanted Dad to wrap them up in their towels.  They put their hands over their heads and he wraps them up like little burrito babies.

IMG_6384 We went inside to dry off and relax for a while.  Mom went in to take a shower and the kids kept running in and out of the cool saloon doors on the bathroom and she finally had enough and yelled, “Can’t a person have some privacy around here?”

IMG_6389 So, to keep them entertained and out of the bathroom Dad said he would give them a horseback ride.  They had a difficult time both staying on b/c they were laughing so hard.

IMG_6388I think they wore their horsey out b/c he finally went kaput.

IMG_6385 I thought this picture of their three heads in a row was funny.  Can you tell whose is who’s?

IMG_6390 Autumn fell off and wanted to get back on but got on backwards.  This went on for about 5 minutes w/ her pulling on Drew to get back on and him falling off and them both laughing and giggling.  It’s moments like this that bring me so much happiness.

IMG_6392 The kids wanted to watch a movie in Mom’s room, so we put on “and the Beast” (which is what Autumn calls Beauty & The Beast).  We thought they were in watching it and I went to check on them, but they were under the antique bookcase in the hallway.  I asked them what they were doing and they said, “hiding from the scary bat,'” (which was right above them).  They spent a good hour or two playing in there and on the steps.

IMG_6396 For dinner, Nate had requested a few days ago that we have Ling Lings and fried rice for his “last supper” before he goes into the Air Force on Tuesday.  So, we made that but he was at Six Flags w/ his friends and didn’t get home until late so we went ahead and enjoyed it without him.  It was so good!

IMG_6395After dinner, Autumn started getting fussy so I told her to go sit down and watch TV while I did the dishes and then I would go put a movie on for her.  I looked over literally 2 minutes later and she was zonked out.  Jon went and rented When In Rome, and we watched that.  It was an Ok movie, but not one that I would go buy.  It was a little disjointed and some of the acting from the supporting actors wasn’t that good.  After watching that, we thought it was SO FUNNY that the guy that plays Napoleon Dynamite (John Header) was in the movie & that they also had Pedro in the movie that we watched Napoleon Dynamite b/c we hadn’t seen it in so long.  I remember the first time I saw it how dumb I thought that movie was, but the more I saw it the funnier it became.  Anyways, by this time it was midnight so I packed Autumn up and we went home to go to bed.  It was a great day of being together and having fun.
