Good Things

Just a quick reminder…don’t forget to make a comment on my free giveaway post to be entered to win some SWEET stuff.  Today is the last day and I will be picking a random winner tomorrow…so exciting!

IMG_2868Work was really good today.  I got all caught up on our orders yesterday, so it was relaxing today.  It was also enchilada Wednesday at El Fenix, so we went there for lunch.  When we got back from lunch, some plumbing products had come in that we had ordered.  We had a bunch of valves in the box and then amongst all of them there was this little package of candy.  I thought it was funny that it said “Wolverine Faucets. No retail. No fooling.”  Totally random, but a nice touch to send us some candy w/ our plumbing valves.

IMG_7055 After work, I went and got my little poopsie and then we went over to Mom & Dad’s to party w/ the Guthries before they go home tomorrow.  They had gone to see Salt and had just gotten home.  Dad grilled hamburgers and Ollie North chicken and corn on the cob for dinner.

IMG_7058 As you can tell from this picture, Autumn really enjoyed the corn.  I still have to laugh every time I see her devouring her corn w/ so much pleasure, b/c it reminds of the time that Nick said, “of course she likes corn…she’s an Indian!”  Nick cracks me up.

IMG_7065 After eating our scrumptious dinner, we all jumped in the pool to swim and relax and spend time together before the Guthrie’s leave.  I am so thankful that Dad was in the military and that we have such wonderful life-long friends like the Monzingos and Nelsons and Guthries (just to name a few) that we are able to keep in touch with and see every once in a while.

IMG_7066 After swimming, we all came in to change into dry clothes and have some smoothies.  Autumn is obsessed w/ anything girly that involves make-up, doing hair, etc.  So, when she heard Paige using the blow dryer she made a bee line for the bathroom to sit and watch.  Paige thought it was funny to have a little shadow watching her every move, and Autumn was just soaking it all in like a sponge.

IMG_7068Dad & Mike are such great friends and have been since the day they met.  Dad is super friendly and has lots and lots of friends, but I would say Britt & Mike are some of his closest friends and I’m glad Dad got to have Mike around.  I tried taking a picture of Mom & Raelynne b/c they are also such close and good friends, but Mom threatened me w/ my  life if I took a picture of her b/c she hadn’t done her hair and was just wearing some jammies.  Anyways, we are going to miss the Guthries and it was great to see them again after such a long time.
