Beautiful Sweetie & A Bridal Shower

My little love bug woke up at 7:30 and just played in my room and watched cartoons until I woke up all the way. She would come in and ask me to put an elastic in her doll’s hair, which I would do, and then I would doze off until she needed something else. I cleaned up the kitchen and then watched the third movie I rented yesterday. It was called Preacher’s Kid and was ok. Not one I would rush out to watch again anytime soon. After my movie, Autumn wanted to watch Shrek again. She dragged her stepping stool out of the bathroom and put it in front of her rocking chair and propped her feet up on it while watching her show.

After Shrek was over, she wanted to dance. So, we put on our dance CD and jammed out. She loves to grab one of her dolls and then spins around. I love seeing her really long hair following behind her.

I went to get cleaned up for a party I was going to later and when I came out she was standing on her stepping stool and had some fake flowers out of a vase I have on the table, and she was talking on her pretend cell phone. She also was singing into her cell phone and pretending like it was a microphone while she shook her hips to the song. I have a diva in the making on my hands!

At 2:30 Liz came over and we went to a bridal shower for Mary, a girl I used to work with. They had the best spread of finger foods. They had spinach dip with bread, black chips and salsa, southwest eggrolls with dip, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on bruschetta, and then some mini quiche! It was tasty and you’d better believe I filled my plate w/ all that yummy goodness.

Then on the other side of the table they had this amazing spread of sweets. There were cupcakes, mini cheesecake, Ferrer Roche chocolates, truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, and punch to drink along w/ lemon water. You’d better believe I filled another plate w/ all that yummy goodness, too!

Her parent’s house was decorated so cute. I loved this gorgeous bouquet of pink roses and Mary’s picture on this end table. They also had pictures of her has a baby and different phases of growing up on different tables.

I think my favorite part was this cookie bar. They had white lunch sacks w/ some stickers in that basket on the right hand side for you to fill with cookies and take with you as a lovely parting gift. They had 4 different types of cookies to choose from (I took one of each so I could share with Nick when I got home). I love the pink pom pom looking decorations that her Mom made. So festive and fun!

I didn’t know we were supposed to dress up, but Mary looked amazing. Her hot pink dress and adorable black heels matched the decorations perfectly. I also loved how she had her hair styled and her cute pink earrings and ring. What a cutie!

Here’s the group of us girls that used to work together, along with Kathy. It was so great to see them all again. Mary opened her presents and got some really nice things. I love her sense of style and know their apartment is going to be decorated so cute.

Liz & I left the bridal shower and she was craving Chipotle, so we stopped there and had some lunch. I absolutely love spending time with her b/c we always laugh and have a good time. After eating, we came back to the house to check on Autumn & Nick. Autumn had gotten dressed in her Christmas dress and wanted Liz to put her hair in pig tails.

After putting in the pigtails, Autumn wanted Liz to put her flower right in the middle and then Autumn added her own headband. After getting her hair done, Autumn wanted to do Liz’s hair but Liz didn’t want her to b/c Autumn tends to be too rough so she said, “No, the baby doesn’t want you to.” We got a good laugh out of that.

We watched a movie I had rented last night that Liz wanted to watch (Our Family Wedding). Autumn was running around playing with her dolls when all of a sudden she came and laid her head down on my lap on the couch and was out in 2 minutes. Liberty came and got Liz & Autumn was still asleep. Then I needed to take the movies back so I didn’t get charged another $1. I got a few groceries while I returned the movies and came home and she was still asleep. I thought she looked so cute in her red dress and pink cowgirl boots.

Nick & I watched a movie that was on TV, and then she finally woke up at 9:15! Hopefully she’ll want to go to bed in two hours. When she woke up she looked at me and wanted to stretch out her legs but I was in the way so she said, “Move it, buddy!” I was laughing SO HARD and keep wondering where she hears this stuff? We wanted to watch another movie, so I let Nick pick since I had picked all the other ones today. He picked to watch Little Rascals. That is such a GREAT movie and it makes me laugh every time I see it. Buckwheat is by far my favorite.
