Today at work I got to unload 5 huge crates w/ the forklift b/c none of the guys were around. One of the bosses brought in 1/2 of his sandwich he couldn’t finish and asked if I wanted it. I hadn’t eaten lunch yet so I said sure and it was INCREDIBLE! It was a spicy chicken Panini w/ yummy melted cheese and grilled onions and mushrooms. After work, Autumn & I went over to Mom & Dad’s b/c Autumn wanted to see her Drew. We found him out in the backyard w/ Papa. Papa had put up some candy canes in the backyard for Andrew to try and run around them while kicking the soccer ball. Autumn wanted a turn kicking the ball. Maybe she’ll be a great soccer player like her oldest 1/2 brother Bubzy.
We went over to the fig plants to see if we could find any figs to eat. There weren’t any that were ripe, and lucky for us we didn’t step into this HUGE ant pile. At first it just looked like white sand and Dad kicked it back towards the sand pile when all of a sudden thousands of ants started swarming all over. Seriously, all of this sand was white and all of those little black specks are feisty fire ants. Just one of the reasons I don’t like Texas yards as opposed to Utah yards.
Mom found this 15 inch snake at the Dollar Store that expands to 60 times its normal size when left in water. So, we told the kids to take it outside and throw it in the hot tub. At first they didn’t want to b/c it was a snake but then Autumn got brave when I showed her it was fake and was willing to touch it and throw it in.
Mom got these adorable new shirts for Lexie. The one on the left is a jean colored tunic that would look adorable w/ some leggings. I swear, she has the cutest figure ever and always looks good in anything. I am LOVING her new hair style that Josh gave her.
We had rib eye steaks for dinner that Dad cooked to perfection. Mom made this super healthy salad that is uncooked veggies, like zucchini, squash, red cabbage, and cucumbers just shredded up. Lexie & I cleaned up dinner and Dad took the kids outside to swim, so Lexie & I left to go shopping.
We went to the $1 jewelry store I had discovered a few weeks ago. Ever since I told her about it, we’ve been giddy w/ excitement to go there together. Jon made sure to give Lexie a budget to stick to, especially since she was being good and also getting jewelry for some friends for Christmas gifts. Lexie called Jon and told him she went way over budget, but she was good and actually only spent $15. It was SO HARD to not want to buy everything in the store. If you’re in the Dallas are you FOR SURE need to go to this store.
Here we are leaving w/ all of our amazing finds. I’m surprised this store isn’t packed non-stop b/c they have such CUTE stuff and for only ONE dollar!
Here are my lovely treasures that I absolutely love! Now I just need to find a place to store and organize them all b/c I’m running out of room for all my earrings and necklaces.
I packed up Autumn & told Mom & Dad thank you so much for watching Autumn for me so I could spend some alone time w/ Lexie. We got home and I told Autumn to go in and go potty before getting into bed. Luckily Nick was in there brushing his teeth and noticed that water was pouring out from under the tank lid of the toilet. We went to take the top off and Nick got sprayed in the face. Once the toilet quit running we took the lid off and found the little tube that water comes out of had come off of the hole that the water goes down. So, we clipped it back on and solved the problem. YAY, us! I’m glad we were able to figure it out and that it was an easy fix.
Also, if you take a look below this blog post you’ll notice something new. There are some buttons there that you can click on if you think this post is funny, sad, you love it, etc. It’s kind of like the “like” button on Facebook. That way you can still let me know what you thought of my blog posts but w/ out all the effort of actually typing in a comment! Kind of fun…try it out!

Just an idea on how to store your jewelry without taking up space ... An over the door shoe organizer. The ones with plastic pockets. I have one for my daughter for all her rings and bracelets.
We have an initial hook for her necklaces. It's an "s" that screws into the wall and has a hook on the bottom of it.
We so have to make it a tradition to go to that $1 jewelry store when I come up there! LOVE YA & thanks for buying me cute jewelry!!!
