Binoculars & Baldies

Today when I picked up Autumn at daycare, she was SO EXCITED to show me these “bun-ock-lars” she made at school.  She kept telling me she could see a giraffe and elephants and zebras.  I love how she is looking through them pointing in different directions!

We really didn’t do much for our Friday night fun.  We just did our usual of watching TV, me flipping Autumn while I lay on the floor, eating good food, etc.  When it was finally time to pack up and go home, Autumn suddenly became interested in having Papa read her the closest book she could find, which happened to be about a bald guy.  That’s why this shot cracks me up so much!

It’s a good thing she has her Papa wrapped around her little finger so she can put off going home for 5 minutes.  Then when the book was finally over, she talked Papa into carrying her out to the car.  I’m so glad that we live close to Mom & Dad so Autumn can spend lots and lots of time w/ them.  I am so glad Dad was in the military and that we got to move around a lot, but sometimes I wish I had been closer to grandparents when I was little.  I guess it just makes all the times that I DID get to spend with them that much more meaningful.  I hope Autumn will appreciate that she gets to have such a close relationship w/ Mom & Dad.
