German Food & Jammies

I was loving the extra hour we had this morning when we woke up.  Instead of having to rush Autumn w/ her bath she was able to enjoy it and play a little.  Church was nice and our lesson was on fasting, which was perfect since it was fast Sunday.  During the 3rd hour, they had Primary inservice where all the teachers met together to learn how to be better teachers.  I am SO GLAD they have it during church so we don’t have to try and get together once a quarter outside of church.

While we were having our inservice meeting, someone sat w/ our class during sharing time and for the activity they had our class write thank you notes to us.  Here are some of the best ones I got.  It made me smile and I really do love my class.

After church, Autumn & I went over to Mom & Dad’s so I could see how Mom makes Melitta’s cabbage rolls (that’s what that gross brown/black looking thing is).  This is a bad picture of them, b/c they look gross but were really super good and tasty.  It brought back so many good memories of when we lived in Germany.

After we ate and I cleaned up the dishes, I laid down on the couch for just a minute and next thing I knew, I had fallen asleep for an hour!  It was a nice little nap.  Dad had to take some papers to Pres. Wright, and Autumn wanted to go with him.  Mom & I just watched football while they were gone.  Dad called and said Autumn had fallen asleep and he was going to stop by our house to get her some jammies.  She came back wearing these, which are just TOO CUTE.  Andrew called to talk to Papa and after he was done talking to Papa, Autumn wanted to talk to him.

Autumn usually won’t wear these jammies, but I think Papa talked her into it.  I love this look on her face like, “Huh?  Why am I wearing these things?”  I think she looks adorable in these footed jammies and wish she would wear them more often.

I told her to jump so I could try and get an action shot.  I think I like footed jammies so much b/c they remind me of when she would wear them as a little baby.  She is just growing up WAY TOO FAST!  We eventually left Mom & Dad’s and went home so I could get my little Autumn Bottom to bed.  The weekends seem to go by way too fast, don’t they?
