Rough Housing, Temple, Park, Driving, Hot Mama, & Games

IMG_9368 This morning we woke up and the kids got a morning of fun with Papa.  They were trying to attack him and he always ended up winning and tickling them.  He would tell them to come snuggle with him for a minute and then would hold them so they couldn’t get away.  They were LOVING it!

IMG_9373 Then, Lexie got in on the action b/c Andrew kept saying, “Mama, come save me!”  So she went over to help but got pulled into the craziness.

IMG_9374 Since Lexie tried to save Andrew, he decided to return the favor by saving her.  We were all laughing so hard.

IMG_3353 I have made it a goal for this year to go to the temple once a month.  However, I wasn’t able to go in October b/c I was in Slovenija and then when I got back, the temple was closed for cleaning.  So, I am going to go twice in November to make up for missing October.  I told Lexie before they came up to bring her temple clothes and temple recommend so we could go together.  Mom was great and watched the kids for us and we had a great time.  It was nice to be in a session with her.

IMG_3355 We saw this when we came out of the temple, which looked really out of place amongst all the mini-vans.  A hot pink motorcycle w/ an angel painted on the front.

IMG_9384 We came home from the temple and had some lunch and then took the kids to the park so Mom could have some peace and quiet.  They had so much fun running around and chasing each other.  Autumn would not be able to find Drew and would look for him and then when she would find him they would run across the park to each other and give each other a big hug.  It was so cute, but we weren’t able to get a picture of it b/c the sun was always behind them and made the picture too dark.  They wanted to climb across these yellow seats that move but weren’t too sure about it.

IMG_9386 Lexie decided to show them how to do it.  I was laughing at her crawling across it and holding of for dear life as if it were super high up in the air instead of a foot off the ground.  We stayed at the park for a few hours b/c the kids were having so much fun being outside and burning off some energy.

IMG_9387 After the park, we stopped at the store to get a few things.  I needed to get some gum for my kids at church tomorrow and I let the kids each pick a $1 treat.  Autumn got gummy bears and Andrew got Reese’s peanut butter cups.  They both wanted to carry the basket, so Lexie had them hold it together.

IMG_9391 When we got home, Andrew decided to forego eating his Reese’s to go ride the mower and throw sticks in the stream.  That is true love right there…to give up a treat to spend time w/ Papa.  Dad was watching the football game but instead of watching that he turned off the TV so he could go take the kids on a lawn mower ride.  He’s such a good Papa.

IMG_9393 We all gathered sticks and then Dad broke them into smaller pieces so the kids could throw them in the stream.  He made sure to hold onto the back of their pants so they wouldn’t get to eager and fall off the edge of the rocks and into the water while they were throwing sticks.

IMG_9402 After all the sticks were floating down the stream, the kids jumped back onto the lawn mower and where thrilled when Papa let them steer the lawn mower around the lot.

IMG_9405 Since the kids had burned off some energy, we put on a Barbie movie for them so they could calm down.  Autumn was so tired, she fell asleep sitting up on the couch!  That’s the sign of a good hard day of fun and play.

IMG_9406 While she was asleep, Lexie & I snuck away to go to the $1 jewelry store.  I got this AWESOME ring that I just love to pieces.  It looks like the top of a dandelion that you blow on and make a wish.  Another favorite purchase were these huge and colorful flower earrings.  They were SO me!  Lexie got these adorable purple sunglasses.

IMG_9416 We first went to Dots, which has some cute and affordable clothes and Lexie found this ADORABLE jacket for only $28!  She said she’s been looking for a coat for about 2 years, but they’re always $70 or more so when she saw this one for $28, she had to have it.  I think she looks so good in it.

IMG_9419 I also insisted that she get this zipper flower headband at the $1 jewelry store b/c they’re so in fashion right now, and unlike me, she can pull it off and make it look good.  What a fashionista!

IMG_9420 We got home from our little sister shopping adventure and showed off all our fun purchases.  Then we wanted to play a game, so we busted out one that we haven’t played in FOREVER.  It’s called Journey Through Europe.

IMG_9421I was so excited to see that one of the stops I had to make while playing the game was in Split, Croatia!  Too bad they didn’t have a stop for Ljubljana, that would have been awesome.  We had fun playing the game together and just laughing and creating memories.  It was getting late by this point, and we have early morning Church tomorrow, so I packed Autumn up and we headed home.
