Today at church Autumn made me laugh so hard. The talks were on gratitude and thanksgiving. Someone said something about having an attitude of gratitude and Autumn’s little head popped up from coloring in her coloring book and she looked around and put her hand on her hip and in her sassy voice said, “I don’t want to see any of your attitude, missy!” I looked at the couple behind us to see if they had heard her and they had, and we were all trying so hard not to bust out laughing b/c it was so unexpected and funny. Later I asked her where she got that from and she said her teachers at school say that to the kids when they give the teachers attitude. So hilarious!
We got home from church and had lunch and then Autumn wanted to change into her Christmas dress from last year, which is too small, but she didn’t care and just wanted to twirl around in it. She also decided to play hair dresser and brought me the water spray bottle that I use on her hair, so I could get her doll’s hair wet so she could brush and style it.
We went over to Mom & Dad’s house and the tree in the neighbor’s yard was so colorful and pretty.
She wanted to go outside and play in the sandbox, but since she didn’t want to wear play clothes over to Mom & Dad’s house and just wanted to wear her Christmas dress, I made her take it off while she played in the sand. It was 82 degrees outside, so I just let her play in her underwear.
I just love these 3 red gerber daisies that keep coming back year after year even though Dad only planted them there once. They’re so pretty and just make me happy.
Autumn was getting restless and wanted to play hide & go seek, so Dad helped her hide and also helped her find me. This was her favorite place that Papa helped her hide b/c he put her in the old wagon that holds all of our blankets. It is so fun to play hide & go seek w/ her b/c she can’t stay quiet for long and starts laughing. I’ll walk around and pretend like I can’t find her by saying, “Is she under the table? Is she behind the couch?” It’s hilarious b/c when I ask those questions she’ll say, “No, I’m over here!” It’s so funny.
She finally zonked out around 7:00 and sprawled out on the love seat. She is going to be super tall if she keeps growing at the rate she’s going. She’s almost 4 but is already wearing clothes that 6 year olds wear. She looks so long and tall in this picture! We watched football and just relaxed.
Liz & Liberty called and said they wanted to come over and bring me a surprise. It was a gift certificate to the $1 jewelry store!!! Liz knows me super well and what a great gift that is. She said it was for my birthday back in October. I told her she didn’t need to do that but she insisted. They stayed and talked for a while and I just love her so much. I need to hang out w/ her more b/c she’s so fun and happy and upbeat.
Dad made us smoothies and I thought this was such a cute picture of Autumn & Dad sitting at the table to eat theirs together. It was a fun weekend and I’m excited I only have to work for 3 days this coming week.
