Way To Burst My Bubble

IMG_3311 Today at work, we got a big shipment in and so we had a lot of bubble wrap that we were going to throw away.  I asked my boss if I could have a sheet of it to take home and he said of course.  So, I brought some home and told Autumn we were going to scare Papa & Mimi.  We laid our sheet out near the back door b/c we saw Mom sitting on the couch inside, and started jumping on it.  Mission accomplished b/c we saw her jump and she said we scared her.

IMG_3313 We took it in the house and laid it out on the floor for Autumn to jump on.  She was having the time of her life and laughing non-stop.  She would jump really high in the air and then land on the bubble wrap.  Both Mom & I looked at each other and said we would break something if we tried that.  But she kept doing it over and over and loved it.  I am glad she got so much joy out of such a simple thing.  I have to admit that it IS super fun to walk on it and hear the crackle of the bubbles popping.

IMG_3315 After eating dinner, we watched Survivor and then Dad & Autumn & I went on a walk.  Our neighbor has a rock pear tree in his yard and usually the pears aren’t very good b/c they’re, well, hard as a rock (hence the reason they’re called rock pears).  But, b/c it’s getting cold the pears have softened up enough to where you can eat them and they are actually really sweet and good this time of the year.  So, we stopped and got a rock pear to eat on our walk.

IMG_3317 Autumn found another pompous grass plant and wanted me to get her a white fluffy thing in the middle like she did the other night when we went on our walk around the duck pond.  She had so much fun chasing Papa.  She was laughing so hard she almost couldn’t run.

IMG_3318She had insisted on bringing the flashlight w/ us and you can’t tell in this picture b/c of the flash, but she was trying to shine it on Papa’s bummy.  He would run away and she would chase after him trying to shine the flashlight on him.  We had a nice little walk around the neighborhood and even got in some exercise by jogging a few times.
