Today at work it was so cold and windy outside that I couldn’t help myself and broke an unwritten rule that you can’t listen to Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving. I turned on Pandora and jammed out w/ the Carpenter’s Home For The Holidays. Mom had made some amazing clam chowder last night (I don’t like the clams so I pick them out and then it’s just like corn chowder) and we had left overs, so I had that for lunch today. It was so warm and cozy to eat my clam chowder and listen to Christmas music.
Tonight Mom & Dad wanted to go out on a date, so Autumn & I actually came to our own house after work/school. We baked one of our favorite frozen pizzas from WalMart and then decided to go on a walk. Autumn wanted her pizza to go, so I let her eat it while we went on our walk.
We had fun walking around the duck ponds and watching the sunset.
Autumn couldn’t help herself from running after the ducks to scare them off. Luckily no one else was around b/c she kept yelling her version of “quack, quack, quack.” She can’t pronounce the “qw” correctly and says “f” instead of “qw” so I had to keep telling her not to say “fack, fack, fack” b/c it sounds like a naughty word.
We kept walking by these big plants of pompous grass & she wanted one of the white fluffy things coming out of the top.
She had so much fun w/ that little white fluffy thing and chased me around w/ it. She kept trying to tickle me and we were laughing like crazy while running around. It was fun and a good way to get in some much needed exercise.
Uh, oh! Here she comes! I am so glad we went on a walk. It’s one of those things where I wish I did it more often b/c we had so much fun and it’s good for us to get out. Sometimes I just talk myself out of it b/c I think it will be too much work to put on Autumn’s jacket and shoes and get the camera and make sure to take the garage door opener out of my car so I have a way to close up the house while we’re gone, etc. But once we get out there and start walking I’m always glad we did. I need to make myself go on walks w/ her more often.
Once it got dark, we came back to the house and made some pre-made Pillsbury cookies that Mom found for 59 cents! SWEET! Then we just watched our favorite Wednesday shows, especially Modern Family (although I only got to see parts of that b/c Autumn needed a bath). It was a great day.
