Eighth Day Of Secret Santa & 2 Other Gifts

IMG_3497 Today when I woke up, I wasn’t feeling too good.  My stomach was hurting, but I still went to work.  During the day, I almost threw up a few times but held it in.  I stopped and got Autumn at daycare and we stopped at the post office so I could mail a few packages I’ve been carrying around with me for a few weeks.  Then we stopped at Sonic so I could get a large cranberry slush to see if that would help my tummy.  I wasn’t hungry and just wanted something to drink, plus I could tell that I was dehydrated.

We went over to Mom & Dad’s and Mom was so nice and let me just lay on the couch while she made Autumn some mac & cheese for dinner.  Autumn had gotten this little container full of different lipsticks at the party last night and wanted to try it out tonight.  She had to put some on in the mirror so she could see how pretty she looked.

IMG_3494 It was bright pink and was really messy and got on everything, so the lipstick mysteriously disappeared after that first application.  But, she was happy that she got to wear some and when she wanted more, I just let her use some of my chapstick.  We just vegged and watched The Sing Off and Million Dollar Drop.  I am SO GLAD that Committed won the Sing Off.  They were so good, and I also liked Street Corner Symphony, but I for sure think Committed was better.

IMG_0066 Autumn & I came home and went to see what our Secret Santa had left us and were surprised to see we had THREE gifts on our door step! One was a big plate of goodies from the Jarnagin’s.  It was so kind and thoughtful of them to include Nick’s name on the gift tag.  Those peppermint brownies looked so good (I might try some tomorrow buy my tummy is still too upset to try them now).

IMG_0067 There was also this cute cellophane bag of chocolate covered pretzels from a girl in my Primary class.  It makes me feel so loved and appreciated!

IMG_0068 And of course we had our gift from our Secret Santa and this is what they note said:

On the eight day of Christmas, we’re busy as a bee.
Eight maids-a-milking, no where do we see.
But there in the barn we spy a tasty sweet,
Milk Maid caramels, what a treat!

There were a TON of caramels in the bag, and whoever is doing our Secret Santa is super generous.  I really really hope they’ll tell us who they are at the end of this so we can tell them a huge thank you.  I am so tired and am still feeling yucky, so I’m going to bed at 9:30, which is the earliest I’ve gone to bed in a long time.  I’m hoping the extra sleep will help me feel better in the morning.
