Today at work it was super slow, so in between answering the phones every once in a while when they would ring, I watched the last half of Season 4 of Mad Men. I am obsessed w/ that show now and LOVE the clothes and hairdo from that era. Anyways, I left at 3:45 b/c my boss said I could. I stopped and got Autumn at daycare and we gave her teacher’s their gifts.
I just got a cute decorative pail from Target and put some Bath & Body Works anti-bacterial soap, caramels, candy & some left over gold coins from our Secret Santa together. On the note I told them thank you for being such great teachers and said a teacher can never have enough anti-bacterial soap to fend off all the germs they have to deal with, thank you for being so “sweet” and that they are “worth more than their weight in gold.”
We went over to Mom & Dad’s house and I helped Mom make steak & everything sandwiches for dinner. Liz & Liberty stopped by to exchange presents and share some Christmas dinosaur cookies that she had made. I am so lucky to have them as friends.
Mom & Dad flew Nate home last night so he could be here for Christmas. It was fun to get to see him and that we get to have him home for a little bit. Lexie & Jon & Andrew also drove up to spend Christmas here. We watched a special video that Santa made special just for Autumn (she was enthralled by it) & Andrew.
After that we ate dinner and then Autumn & I came home to go to bed at 9:30 b/c we have an early day tomorrow. This was the note & treat we had from our Secret Santa for the 11th night:
Those eleven pipers piping reminds us of our plumber,
To leave him on the doorstep would be a real bummer.
Now make your water piping hot, and fill your cups with care.
We’re giving you some hot chocolate we know you’ll love to share.
We simply can’t believe this game is almost through.
We’ve had a jolly time bringing these gifts to you.
With only one more night, don’t you wish you knew,
Just exactly who we are and why we’re doing this for you?
YES! I can’t wait to find out who it is that’s been so kind and giving to us!
