I got up at 6:30 this morning, got ready, and went to the temple. It was weird b/c we didn’t go sit in the chapel to wait for the session to start, they just had us go straight to the room and we waited in there until the session started. It was a good session and there were these pretty older Polynesian sisters sitting behind me. One of them had a really pretty diamond ring in the shape of a plumeria. I’ll have to remember that for when I get to pick out an engagement ring.
I got home and as soon as I walked in the door Autumn came running up to me and said, “Oh, Mama! I was so worried about you!” Nick said she woke up scared and was crying for me and so he put on a Barbie movie for her to watch until I got home.
I changed my clothes really fast and did Autumn’s hair and we hit the road. I had an appt to get the tires on the Durango rotated for free. I took my laptop and The Princess & The Frog for Autumn to watch while we waited. She didn’t really watch it and wanted to dance around instead. So, I put on some music for her and she had a blast.
We left and about 1/2 mile down the road I realized I had left my camera bag at the tire store. So, we flipped a U-ie as soon as I could and went back and got it. WHEW! Then we took the Durango to get the oil changed. While we waited for that, we walked down to Sonic and got a little snack. Autumn just wanted a “pink drink” so I got her a strawberry cream slush.
After we got the oil changed, they gave us a coupon for a free car wash. That was nice b/c the Durango was really dirty and needed to be washed. We stopped and vacuumed it out before getting it washed b/c the inside needed it. Autumn still isn’t a fan of car washes and always leans away from the window when the brushes hit the windows. We stopped and filled the Durango up w/ gas and then went to Mom & Dad’s house.
Dad was out in the driveway cleaning the Corvette, and enlisted Autumn to help him dry it off. I cleaned the rims on the Durango while they dried off the Corvette.
Mom said she wanted to go out to lunch and had a coupon for a Hibachi grill. I remember when I took Autumn to one before that she FREAKED OUT during the fire part. I thought she had probably outgrown that, but I held her on my lap anyways just in case she hadn’t. The chef lit the fire and Autumn was off my lap and hiding behind my chair in less than 2 seconds. Poor little thing! I guess she hasn’t outgrown the fear of the fire.
She even hid behind my chair when he did the small onion volcano. The food was good and we got a TON of meat, but it was way too expensive and we won’t be eating there again, especially since we were eating there during lunch when it’s cheaper. After the guy was done cooking and had cleaned the grill and gone back into the kitchen Autumn finally relaxed and sat in her own chair and ate her food. But, she kept turning around anytime she heard a noise to see if he was coming back. Guess I won’t be taking her to any Hibachi grills again in the near future.
After lunch, we stopped at the bank and then Mom ran in the grocery store to get a few things. It was nice and breezy outside so we rolled down the windows and waited for her. Dad read a book on the Kindle and Autumn & I watched The Princess & The Frog on Dad’s cell phone.
We came home to relax but there’s no relaxation for Dad. He took Autumn and they went out to mow the grass. I saw them drive by and had to get a picture of them both wearing their big noise silencing headphones.
Mom & I were watching TV when we both got a text. It was from Dad and he said to hurry and come outside and bring my camera.
Autumn was out for the count. Dad said they were driving along and her head went down and he thought she was looking at the grass coming out of the lawnmower. But he realized she was asleep when her head kept bobbing. She looked so cute and innocent. I picked her up so Dad could finish mowing. As soon as I picked her up to carry her in the house, she woke up and was raring to go.
We just hung out for a while and watched TV. Dad finished mowing the lawn and came in and around 7:15 he came flying out of the bedroom and said he had forgotten it was the wrestling banquet tonight. He ran out the door to that and Mom & I had a Big Bang Theory watching marathon. Mom had recorded about 10 episodes on the DVR and we watched them all (of course while forwarding through the commercials). It’s is a HILARIOUS show and we were literally laughing out loud in every episode. Finally at 9:00 we finished and Autumn & I came home so we could go to bed in order to get up early for church tomorrow.
