It’s Always Fun When Andrew Comes, When Andrew Comes HORRAY!

DSCN0274 Lexie, Jon & Andrew drove in late last night b/c Jon had to be to the airport super early this morning to fly up to Utah to see his niece get married.  Mom called while I was at work and said Dad & Andrew were going to go get Autumn early from daycare b/c Andrew wanted to watch Tangled with her.  They stopped at the store on the way home and bought these Happy Mother’s Day flowers for Mom.

DSCN0279 They took the flowers into her and woke her up from a nap.  She was very happy and surprised.  Dad gave them each a snack size pack of peanut M&M’s.  They were pretending to be asleep like Mimi was, but as you can tell from their big old smiles they weren’t very convincing.

DSCN0283 Mom called and said they were going to take the kids to see Rio at 4:30 if I could get off work early.  Usually I would have been able to, but I couldn’t today.  If you’re wondering how I got these pictures, it’s b/c I told Lexie she had to document all the fun stuff that they were doing since I couldn’t be there.

DSCN0288 After the movie they came home and Dad played hide & go seek w/the kids while Mom made Aunt Sandy’s green rice for dinner.  Since I knew they were going to be in a movie, I went and got my nails done.  Binh always does such a great job on my nails and it’s so enjoyable to be pampered.

DSCN0294While the kids waited for dinner to be ready, they went out in the garden to pick peas.  Dad & Andrew had picked onions earlier in the day but waited for Autumn to be there to pick peas all together.  Dad & Andrew had also found a frog earlier in the day and went and released it into the creek.

P1020328 I had gotten to my nail appointment early and so I went next door to the children’s consignment store and found this precious dress for only $8.50!  I also found some brand new matching shoes there for only $3.50.  It’s a super fancy dress that she can wear to church or somewhere really nice.  She was making this face and giving Papa attitude b/c he told her to take it off so we could eat dinner and so she wouldn’t spill on it.

After we ate, we were all shocked to realize it was already 8:30.  So, I packed up Autumn and we headed home so she could take a bath.  I watched The Proposal on TV for a while and then put her to bed.  I really wanted to make some BYU mint brownies ever since Becky Higgins posted the recipe on her blog.  But, I only had 3 eggs and the recipe calls for 4, so I just made some brownies from a box and then made the mint frosting that goes on top since that’s the best part anyways.  Now Nick & I are watching How I Met Your Mother and then we’ll watch Whose Line and then I’ll go to bed.  I’m glad tomorrow is Friday.
