We had some nice rain storms today, so when I picked Autumn up from daycare I brought an umbrella b/c I know how much she loves them. We went to Mom & Dad’s house and they were gone learning how to use the new iPad. So, we made the dinner Mom had left out (pulled pork sandwiches & asparagus). The second we were done eating, Autumn asked if she could go outside and use her umbrella in the rain. It was funny b/c as she was walking around enjoying listening to the rain hitting her umbrella she was singing “Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day.”
Autumn ate her own whole entire plate of asparagus earlier, so I was surprised that she told Papa she could “share” some of his when he got home. She’s so lucky that Papa likes to share with her.
My mouth was hurting so bad after dinner, b/c the Motrin I had taken wore off and I was miserable. I laid down on the couch w/ an ice pack on my cheek even though that didn’t really help at all. I was able to finally fall asleep and take a little 30 minute power nap. I woke up and asked where Autumn was and Mom said she and Dad were outside playing in the rain. I know this picture is blurry, but it’s the best one I could get.
All of a sudden the sky changed colors in the back yard and a rainbow came out. We went around the side of the house and this is what the sky looked like. This shot is SOOC (straight out of camera) and I did not do any edits to it. It was kind of creepy and reminded me of something you would seen on an end-of-the-world type movie.
Autumn and I came home and I got her to bed and blogged for a little bit. I tried going to bed, but my tooth hurt so bad that I couldn’t sleep. I took a Vicodin (that I had left over from my root canal last year) in hopes that it would knock me out so I could sleep, but it didn’t do anything!!! It didn’t even help w/ the pain at all. What the heck?
I didn’t have any ice, so I used this frozen bag of peas to put on my cheek. That didn’t really help so I thought maybe something cold in my mouth would help so I ate some ice cream. That didn’t help either. I finally took some Motrin and watched TV while I waited for it to kick in. I didn’t go to sleep until 1:30 am and then woke up again at 4:30 when the Motrin wore off. I hope my tooth starts feeling better soon.
