I got up this morning and Autumn wanted waffles. She’s been asking for them for about a week, so I finally made them this morning since we weren’t in a rush to get out the door like we are during the week. Nick watched Autumn for me while I went and got my nails done. After I got them done, I stopped at the kid’s consignment store next door. I couldn’t pass up this polk-a-dot dress for only $2.50!!!
There was also this adorable swimming suit for only $3.50! Autumn put it on as soon as we finished eating lunch and wore it the rest of the afternoon.
I brought home penne dolcelatta for lunch and couldn’t stop “mmmm-ing” b/c it was so incredibly good. I seriously think I could drink the sauce w/ a straw. It’s so rich and creamy and flavorful. Autumn & Nick ate most of the noodles and I got the extra goodies like the spinach, artichoke, & bell peppers.
We just vegged out for the afternoon and watched Tangled and the Gnomeo & Juliet. I made some fried zucchini after that and then Liz & Liberty came over around 4:00 and we swam until 6:30. The pool water is only going to be nice for about one more week and then it’s going to be warm and feel like bath water. But at least we have a pool, and we use it a lot and enjoy having it. Autumn and I got ready and headed for the ball park at 7:00.
We weren’t even in the car for 5 minutes before Autumn was out like a light. She was so deep asleep that she even drooled on her shirt.
They opened the gates at 7:00 and the show started at 8:00. We got there at 7:30 and the field was already full! It definitely wasn’t this full last year when we went and saw Shrek. That’s good news…that the clinics are doing well and growing b/c more people know about them. I was talking to the other owner’s wife and she said they had 7,000 people RSVP’d to come!
This little girl was sitting by us and had the most ADORABLE outfit ever! I just had to get a picture b/c it was so stinkin’ cute. I wonder if her Mom made it for her or if she bought it. It was a layered dress on top w/ matching ruffled pants and her hair accessories matched, too.
Autumn was NOT a happy camper when I had to wake her up to come into the ballpark. But, she finally snapped out of it and especially loved when they handed out the glow in the dark necklaces. She ended up w/ 4 of them and strung them all together.
They showed Cars (the first one) and we left at 9:30 even though the movie wasn’t over. I knew she was tired and needed to get some sleep b/c we have to get up early for church tomorrow. We came home and she had a major melt down w/ kicking and screaming and hitting. I had to keep reminding myself not to loose my cool w/ her b/c she’s tired and it’s my fault for keeping her up so late this past week. She finally calmed down and we were able to go to sleep.
