Church today was good and we talked about the parable of the talents. I asked all the kids what they want to be when they grow up and wrote it on the board. Then I had them go around and tell me a talent they have now that will help them w/ that job in the future. Then we talked about talents that can’t be seen but that are just as important (if not more important) than outward talents.
After church we came home and changed and then went to Mom & Dad’s. We had left over enchiladas for lunch and Mom made mac & cheese for Autumn. I worked on my pictures and blog for a while.
Autumn said she wanted to play “raccoon.” I told her I had no idea what game that was and she said she would lay on the floor and I should cover her up w/ a blanket. I did and then went in the kitchen to help Mom get the roast and carrots and potatoes ready to put in the oven for dinner. Next thing I know, Autumn has fallen asleep on the floor. I like this game of “raccoon” and we’ll have to play it more often! LOL! I played a game on the iPad called Empress Deep II; Song of the Blue Whale.
It’s an addicting game and at first made me mad b/c there aren’t very good instructions on where to go or how to play. But, I got the hang of it and next thing I know, I had to leave to meet my home teachers at 7:00. Autumn had gone over to Curt’s w/ Dad to check on the puppies so Nick came home with me. The lesson they gave was on being committed to covenants and the things of the Lord. It was really good, and I feel bad Autumn wasn’t there for the lesson b/c they printed off a cute picture for her that had a simplified message of the lesson on it.
Nick & I sat and played a game on the iPad for a little bit and then went back to Mom & Dad’s. Autumn & Dad were back from checking on the puppies and Autumn asked Papa to make smoothies. He put some cantaloupe pieces in this smoothie b/c we needed to use them up and I thought it was going to be nasty, but it ended up being really good. After smoothies, they went out to swing for a little bit before we had to go home. They are such good friends.
We came home and I put Autumn to bed and then stayed up until midnight watching Drop Dead Diva.
