Today when I picked Autumn up from college, she said she wanted to go to McDonald’s. Since Mom & Dad weren’t home anyways b/c they had gone to see a movie, I told her we could. We stopped by the house so I could get my coupon for a free kid’s meal when you buy an adult value meal. Pretty good deal if you ask me. It wasn’t very crowded in the play area, so we were able to snag a table that had a game console on it. Autumn ate and then went to play on the jungle gym, so I found a trivia game. I didn’t do very well at the 5th grade level or 7th grade level, but I usually only missed 1 or 2 of the questions for Grade 6. I never got every single question right so maybe I need to go back to school??? I stunk at the math questions but excelled at the English questions. Math never has been my strong suit. It was actually fun to exercise my brain.
After a few hours, we packed up and went to the $1 Jewelry store b/c we haven’t been there in a a while. I told Autumn that if she was good she could get something, and she picked this cute and colorful necklace that came w/ a matching bracelet. She wouldn’t look at the camera when I tried to take her picture, and she was about to say something so she looks a little perturbed, but she really was happy w/ her choice and was a good girl in the store.
Here’s the treasures I ended up with. We came home and Autumn changed into a dress as soon as we walked in the door. We relaxed for a little bit and I read her some books and then it was time for bed. It’s nice to just be at our own house in the evenings sometimes, and I’m sure Mom & Dad appreciate the rarity of a having a quiet house.
