This morning Autumn woke up at 7:30 and rushed into Papa & Mimi’s room to say hi. They didn’t get back from Austin until 3:00 am, so they were tired and went back to sleep until 10:00. Autumn & I had some cereal for breakfast and then watched some episodes of Jem that we had recorded. I’m so glad that Autumn loves it as much as I used to when I was a kid. She can even sing the theme song. After Jem, I flipped over to the main channels and they all were showing the 9/11 memorials. I love the new waterfalls and reflecting pools that represent where the towers used to be.
I paused the TV and took a picture of it for my Project Life and Autumn asked me what I was doing. She asked me to take a picture of her, which is rare lately. Usually she’s trying to run away from the camera. Her hair is all skee-wampus but that’s what Sunday mornings are for…relaxing and hanging out in jammies.
I was so touched to see that people had put American flags and flowers into the engraved names of their loved ones. I also thought it was neat how they were making rubbings of the names etched into the bronze. Hopefully those memorials can be places of unity and remembrance and mostly healing.
Autumn & I came home at 11:30 and got cleaned up and ready for church. My class was really talkative and rowdy today, but we made it through. I love using the website sugardoodle.net for extra things (like word finds, puzzles, activities, etc) to help get the lesson across.
Autumn & I came home, got changed, and went over to Mom & Dad’s house. Mom was eating some warmed up macaroni & cheese and Autumn laid down on the couch, propped her feet up on Dad and said to Mom, “I’m down here Mimi and I need a bite.” Um, can you say spoiled much??? She has no idea how good she has it.
We watched some football and then I went to a single adult fireside. It was about the Book of Mormon and was really good. As soon as it was over, I rushed back to Mom & Dad’s to get Autumn Bottom. We came home and I put her to bed and then watched the Cowboys game. So sad! First BYU loses and then the Cowboys. I am excited for this upcoming week. There are a lot of fun things on the agenda.

Beautiful post Lisa. I knew the guy that you have the screencap of. Nicholas Rossomando. He was a firefighter and I went to HS with his sister. Funny how these things pop up in the most random places.
