It was a typical Sunday morning today. We got up and had some cereal for breakfast and then Autumn played w/ some toys and watched a Disney movie while I worked on my Project Life. She is so good about keeping herself entertained, and I just wish she had a sibling to play with. We got cleaned up and then she helped me make some mac & cheese for lunch. She is turning into such a good helper in the kitchen, and I love that she wants to help.
Today it was our Primary Program at church, and even though I think that technically you’re not supposed to take pictures in the chapel, I’m glad one of my visiting teachers got this picture of Autumn. She’s the one in the lavender dress, right above this red-headed kid in the blue shirt. She did such a great job on her part and said, “I can return to live with Heavenly Father.” All the Primary kids did a wonderful job and were so cute.
I actually missed teaching my 11/12 year old kids, b/c I haven’t seen them in a month! I was gone to Austin for Jackson’s baby blessing, then it was General Conference, and we’ve been practicing for the program for 2 weeks during the 2nd hour. And since only 2 of my 10 kids are still 11, the other kids didn’t have to be in the program and would go help out in nursery or sit w/ their parents in Sunday School during that 2nd hour for the 2 weeks we were practicing. So, it was nice to be back in the classroom w/ them and actually teach.
One of the 2 kids, turned 12 today so he went to Priesthood during the 3rd hour, and the other one was home sick. So, I got to go to Relief Society! It was SO NICE, and we talked about the 2nd Coming and how to prepare ourselves. I even raised my hand and made a comment. Autumn & I came home and did our self portrait, and I know her eyes are partly closed, but this is the best one I could get out of 7.
She was in a silly mood and wanted to strike a diva pose. We changed clothes and went over to Papa’s house. He had actually made a roast, carrots, potatoes, and gravy for dinner just like Mom usually does. I was impressed to say the least and we enjoyed sitting and talking and eating together. Autumn told him all about the program and how well she had done.
Since it was so nice outside, she wanted to go ride her bike. I love how she’s wearing her dress up Cinderella sparkly shoes while sporting a helmet. She cracks me up and is getting good at pedaling on her own back up the hill (she does great going down the incline) and not needing my help. But, I’m always there just a few steps behind her just in case she does need a little bit of assistance.
We spent the rest of the evening just relaxing and watching TV. Even though I’m not a big fan of baseball, we are watching the Rangers b/c they are going to the playoffs. I hope they win.
