Samoan Cookie Substitute

P1040145 I got an unpleasant surprise this morning when I went to drop Autumn off at college and the doors were locked and no one was there!  Luckily Mom said they could watch her for me today and to bring her over so she could play w/ Andrew.  I got to work and emailed the director of Autumn’s college to see why they were closed.  Come to find out, they’re closed this whole week!  I was so annoyed b/c I never got any notice that they were closed.  It didn’t read it anywhere in their monthly newsletter and they never sent out an email about it.  So, I am super thankful that Mom & Dad can watch her for me, otherwise I’d be tough out of luck.  After work, I got to Mom & Dad’s house and Autumn had fallen asleep in Mom’s arms.  That never happens anymore, so I had to get a picture of it.

P1040146 Mom said Autumn was pretty good for most of the day and just wore herself out.  Mom got these cookies to try, and I have to say they are almost as good as the Girl Scout Samoa cookies.  They aren’t as gooey as the Samoa ones, but they are definitely a close second.

We didn’t do much tonight other than eat some yummy ham bone soup for dinner and watch some TV and sit and talk.  I feel bad that we aren’t doing something fun and exciting w/ Rufio since she’s only here for a few more days, but there’s not anything she wants to go do or see.  We all kind of prefer to just have a low key night at home, especially after all the craziness of the holidays.  Autumn & I came home and I put her to bed and worked on getting caught up on the past few weeks of journaling for Project Life.  I’m so excited to start using the Cobalt edition in 2012.
