Autumn looked so cute this morning before we left for school. I love it when she lets me do her hair in pigtails and put these cute matching bows in. I am also loving the coat Mrs. Claus got her for Christmas.
After work/school, we went over to our favorite Italian restaurant for dinner. I have been craving it for a while and it completely hit the spot. Anything that rich and buttery has got to be evil, but yet it tastes so heavenly. We even had enough left overs for Nick & I to have for lunch tomorrow.
After dinner, we loaded in the car and went to one of the high schools in the area. They did a production of the Music Man. I had really high expectations going in b/c of how well done Beauty & The Beast was done back in 2008.
But, I was also worried b/c the Music Man movie is one of my favorite musicals and I knew I would be comparing this performance to the movie in my mind. I am happy to say I was more than just impressed, I was blown away. It was absolutely incredible. I got goose bumps so many times I lost count. The cast was large and each and every costume was amazing. The set was beyond stunning. The acting, dancing, and singing were phenomenal. The Barbershop Quartet, Marian & Professor Hill were beyond fabulous.
It made me think back on my days in theater in high school and made me miss it so much. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to participate in plays, even though I wasn’t 1/2 as talented as these kids.
I was glad that Autumn was so well behaved and was actually watching and enjoying the play. Her favorite part was when Marian & Prof. Hill kiss in the library. I’m thankful that Mom & Dad enjoy and encourage us to attend events like this. They were always so good about taking us to plays and encouraging us to enjoy the arts when we were younger. I will never forget how they took us to see Phantom of the Opera, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Miserables and others. Thanks to them I have a great love for cultural and artistic things.
